I think the best advice Tony gave me when trying to choose between CF and SS is not to focus on the sound so much as both are very close and differs between each individual as to what tones they hear. Instead choose on the look you want. The beautiful sound and craftsmanship is a byproduct. Either way it is a win/win.

For my part I went CF because I didn't want the cops following me to easily focus on shinny SS exhaust |

FI TP/RTP/HFC/RHFC: 2- 3 Bolt HR Manifold Gaskets / 2- 2 Bolt Gaskets. FI TDX CBE: 2- 2 Bolt Gaskets / 2- 3 Bolt Gaskets In the event that you retain stock cats in conjunction with our TDX CBE, reuse the stock 2 bolt gaskets on the bottom of the catalytic converters. Thanks, Tony

1) The Carbon Fiber is lighter than the Stainless Steel. 2) The Carbon Fiber will emit off a slightly higher pitched exhaust note. (Very minimal and most will not pick up the difference.) 3) The aesthetics of the Carbon Fiber will blend in more and look black at night. The Stainless Steel will attract more attention due to its polished mirror finish. I always tell customers when choosing one over the other to make it about the aesthetics and take the other two reasons out of the equation. If you love the look of the CF mufflers, it is a great investment. If you are on the fence, save the money and go with the SS mufflers. Thanks, Tony

I am good to go as I am not using stock cats and going with your HFC's. All new bolts and gaskets....yippee Oh....and I am investing in the CF Canisters. Such a great investment. I am in line within the next 2 weeks for mine to be completed and ready for shipping. .... # 872 |
