Oh ok, gotcha. So this is only done one time right after installation?

Yea just do it a couple times after its installed. It's basically like "breaking it in". I just drove strait home from the shop I had it installed at and just kept the rpms low, let the car cool down completely, then did 2 of the hot/cool down cycles in the driveway by lettin the car idle. I've been easy on it while driving the last 4 days, but ima get on it when I'm on my way home from work today

This is probably a nooby question but, I am reading about using washers in case the tips aren't perfectly aligned - does the package come with these? If not what are they officially called/sized and where can I get them?

I'd assume most people go to Home Depot and grab a handful from the hardware aisle. Bring one of the bolts with you. I doubt you'll spend more than $3.

If you even need to. I didn't have any problem with mine, and some times it's caused because people not perfectly aligning the mid pipes. There's a good chance you won't need to use washers.

So today is my 4th day driving with my FI exhaust and I'm absolutely loving it. I have carbon fiber cans, 18 inch resonators w/ stock cats and stock intakes and it is plenty loud for me. Downshifting with SRM makes me orgasm every time. If you're on the fence as to whether you should get carbon fiber or stainless steel, go with carbon fiber.. it's totally awesome- stealthy look, and "exotic" is definitely the easiest way to describe it's sound...Not ricey at all. The shape and look of the tips looks perfect as well. I've been turning A LOT more heads driving around too. This system really makes the car sound the way it should..I couldn't imagine going back to the incredibly tame sounding stock exhaust. Worth every penny.

I agree 100%. Had mine 8 months now and love every moment of it. Other than when it rains, I leave my windows open all the time. Sounds and looks great. NR HFC and NR CF CBE FTW!!!!!

So I finally got home from working over seas and what was waiting for me ah yes, High flow cats, 12" res and stainless mufflers. So yesterday I blocked the car up, laid on my back and installed the system. I love it there is nothing else I can say I love it.

I was just being conservative. 2 heat cycles is all that is recommended.
