good day tony. . . I pm'ed you a day ago, I don't know if I sent it right or not. if not I can ask you again..
. I just wanted to ask, where is your shop located? I am just trying to see what is best, weather to get them shipped to 92114 san diego, or drive to your shop and get them installed there. Also, do you charge for the installation? |

Well, I was disappointed at the gains initially. I dynoed 280 stock, and after intakes, hfc and catback, I was at 286. I got it tuned and am now at 299. I'm wondering if its the hfc or the takeda long tube intakes. I'm not so caught up on peak hp #s, but curious why my gains were so low. And as far as torque goes, I went from 234 to 246

That being said with the mods you have the numbers are low all depending on what type of dyno your car was tested on. Every dyno reads different and some are heart break dynos. Generally the Mustang and Dyno Dynamics dynos read the lowest. The Dynojet is the most commonly used in the industry and the numbers are pretty standard. The Dynapaks generally dyno high however are one of the best for tuning. We have always performed our testing on a dynojet. On a 6MT we usually dyno right around 280 RWH & 235-240 RWT. Now without a tune and performed with many cars over the years, the average is right around 310-315 RWH & 255-258 RWT. This is all in STD mode on the dyno. These numbers I am giving you are for our CBE and HFC's with stock intakes. All of this being said, once you put 150-200 miles on your car the ECU will have cycled through and adjusted for the new mods. You will feel a difference throughout the entire rpm band. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to call me directly. Thank you, Tony

And a tune. Like I said, I was more disappointed before the tune... Which was needed anyway because my air fuel ratio was rich

Well if you drove the crap out of it for a few weeks then re-dynoed, you'd be closer to your post-tune number because the ECU would have had time to adjust. I never pay attention to or give any credence to "pre-tune" numbers because they don't really matter. A tune should (IMO) be automatic when you do anything beyond put a CBE or drop in filter on your car. Again, my opinion (supported by your experience), so to each his own. Glad you were able to get it cleaned up, you'll probably pick up another couple WHP over the next few weeks as the ECU fine tunes as well. |
