Default Drone

I installed the cat back FI exhaust on my 2012 Z. There is a distinct annoying drone at 4000 rpm except when I have the windows rolled down. Why does having the windows down make a difference, internal pressure?

I don't get any drone at 4000 rpms. I have the 12" resonated version. I do get a little drone at 2000 but nothing crazy.

Yep, got it installed Wednesday. I didn't bother cleaning it inside. All the oil burned out after about 15 minutes of driving.

You should come check out the guy that did mine. I know it's a drive but he can knock it out in like 90 minutes. It ended up being $95 for me and he even took pictures for me during the install.

I got quoted $450 for HFC and exhaust install. I take it that's a ripoff?

Holy crap... that's like 2 or 2 and a half hours of work for someone who knows what they're doing. I'd say $180 an hour is a little pricey.
