I assume you have nice roads in Orange County. Here in Louisiana, it's like driving on goat paths. I'm leaving the suspension alone. Don't really care to deal with damaging my Z because of potholes, uneven surfaces, or crap falling off of vehicles. At the stock height, a recap torn away from an 18-wheeler tire would be a nightmare for the front end.

Also, doesn't FI say their exhaust hangs no lower than the stock exhaust. So the issue may still exist if you go back to stock. Last edited by bkjunk; 03-15-2014 at 12:03 PM. |

Genesis, Noooooooooo! don't do it! I'm not sure how fast you need to leave your neighborhood, but I'm sure you can take an extra minute or minute and a half to angle and clear all those four speed bumps! Don't do it man, you will regret it!

Also this, I believe I read somewhere that Tony at FI welded some skid plates to the edge of the Cans to keep them from being damaged, you should look into this. You'll be scraping, but at least it's not your Cans!

Just talked to the exhaust shop. They told me it's undoable

Why not. All you need is an angle bracket to be attached to the SS part of the can, or the pipe and then angle across the CF. At least in my mind that's how I'd do it. Obviously you can't weld to the CF.
