Hey ZGirl called Tony at the new number to let him know how much love FI gave to my Z.. While on the phone I mentioned what you said here. He said he'll be looking at this post today.. He did mention that the only number he knows is out of sequence is one with an appointment at his shop for install. If that's you? Then I doubt you'll be getting a tracking number. You can always call Tony to check on things - new shop number is 805-522-3278.

Good Luck - sound is so sweet and deep and mellow...

Just wondering, is there a sonic difference between the stainless steel mufflers and the carbon fiber mufflers guys?

Yes there is, the carbon sounds (IMO) slightly better. The carbon allows more sound through, and sounds slightly meaner. I love it.

Same here! For me and a lot of clips on utube. My carbon sound deeper. And I got test pipe from tony too. Really loud. But awesome. So smooth and deep. Additional 250 (not sure if how much really! Lol!) for carbon is worthy.

And of course lighter and for me. For additional couple of hundreds for the weight and look. Still worthy.

Looks wise do you think the carbon fiber looks better? I kind of think the SS has an edge on looks, just me...

The CF cans have more of a stealth look to them while the SS cans are more in your face. I am happy with my non-res CF system.

I feel it's personal preference. I love carbon fiber and those cans with my MB color just mix nicely. I get constant questions and compliments when people see the cf since i think it's the only system for the Z that offers that option. Also I get tons on compliments on the quality and sound in general. Solid product through and through. Best decision mod wise I've made so far of going with a F.I. exhaust.

The CF will allow more sound to pass through it, so it will be slightly higher volume, but one of the other attributes of the CF is that it will change the tone of the exhaust ever so slightly to give it that exotic sound to it. Closer to a Lambo or Ferrari than previous VQ's, especially when paired with the LTH's.

Freer flow is of course a given, so HP and TQ is the same.

Weight wise, you're saving a few pounds over the SS system, but in all reality, when you're already dropping 40+ pounds vs the stock system, 1-2 for the CF isn't really going to matter unless you're worried about if your GF can fit or not...

Everyone has their personal preference (I believe they both look great in their own respects just because it's a sick exhaust) the CF I think looks better on cars with black or CF accents elsewhere on the car because as previously mentioned, it's the only exhaust with the CF option. On a black car, it's kinda up to the driver if it's worth it. Since the CF would get lost on the black. I think on a Red, Silver, and Blue Z it looks amazing.

The SS mufflers look just as good though, I love them on my black Z especially after Mothers wipe down to clean off the road grime, they just glisten under that bumper saying, "No, I am not stock you derp. lulz."

Good looking out Darkpath!!! I'm in Florida so I'm definitely not the one with an appointment with Tony. LOL..I will give him a call on Monday just to ensure there isn't a mix up...I know it is no where near time for me to receive my CBE though, my estimated arrival time was August 15-19th I believe. Thanks and enjoy it my friend!!! I'm excited!
