The bar is ideal in placement in the front bumper to cover a front end collision and mirrors the curvature of the OEM bar and foam. In addition, the guy who made this for me has the same tubing and format on his SRT-4 (so he could fit a big front mount intercooler) which he actually wrecked two months ago. It did what it was supposed to and transferred the shock impact to the frame rails, albeit probably not quite as perfectly as the OEM bar may have. I am comfortable with the structure given that the flanges are plate steel and the bar is thick wall steel that it will do its job well in transferring shock loads to the frame rails where crumple zones function from.

No worries bud, it looks great. I was only trolling.

Would be interested in a video if there is any difference in the sound of the G3's with the stacks?

Nothing different sound-wise that I can tell but my exhaust is very loud. Car runs nice and smooth though with them.

If anyone is interested, the guy said he would make more if we get three orders minimum. Turnaround is probably a week on them max.

What's the advantage of installing a custom crash beam?
The OEM beam gets in the way of the velocity stacks that I added to the Stillen Gen 3 intakes and it makes more room for an easy intake install (small side benefit).

Regardless of the actual functional safety of the crash beam compared to factory you are taking a huge assumed liability by swapping this out. In the event that you do get into an accident and you or a passenger get injured and the insurance company finds out that the factory front crash bumper was replaced they will no longer accept the liability. Hope that never happens to you but be warned this item may be just as safe but that will not matter in the eyes of the insurance company or court system. Assumed liability is a biatttch.

Could we get more pics of what they look like off of the car? Or are there not any more fabbed up?

No more of them fabbed up yet unless people are interested in buying some. It is a tubular bar bent to the curvature of the front with two square plate steel mounts with the holes for mounting drilled. All is welded of course.

I was just curious since the crash bar was meant absorb light damage without transferring that energy to the rails/crumple zones. I just assumed the foam oem crash bar was designed to fail in the event of a fender bender. I don't doubt the safety, I was just wondering if it's worth it to swap.

To each his own, I wanted something to allow for proper stacks on the intakes, but I appreciate the comments.

This is a HUGE change to the structured engineering and I would be VERY concerned! On that note I wonder what the liability would be if the insured had a sunroof installed and the vehicle was involved in a rollover were some of the injuries were due in part by the sunroof.

I know this post is from couple years ago, but what would be the benefits of adding velocity stacks to the gen 3? any proof of increases horsepower?
