I would recommend at least getting a dyno run performed where they monitor the A/F ratio to see what the car is running. Sometimes, G3 intakes lean the car out beyond the safe limit where I could tell you that it isn't a problem: my car was detonating slightly before my tune after installing the G3 intake even after resetting the ECU. However, conversely many run the G3 without a tune and have had no issues.

hi i have a 370z 40th anniversary with stillen headers, typhoon intake and cnt cat back. the uprev tune made a huge difference ,the car respond better you deffinetly see the difference in power. before the tune it gave around 276whp with the mods in a mustang dyno and after the tune a 296.4whp on 91oct and a 300whp on 104ct

I installed an invidia cat back, berk test pipes and a stillen gen 2 cai.
Max: Stock: 269 rwhp, 205 ftlb@5100 rpm Pre uprev: 304 rwhp, 230 ftlb @ 5000rpm Post Uprev tune: 337 rwhp, 254 ftlb @ 5000rpm More important than the max numbers is area under the curve which increased substantially. 4000 rpm: Stock: 150rwhp, 200 ftlb Pre uprev: 170rwhp, 220 ftlb Post uprev tune: 200rwhp, 242ftlb 3000 rpm: Stock: 110 rwhp, 190 ftlb Pre uprev: 112 rwhp, 210 ftlb Post uprev tune: 145 rwhp, 239 ftlb As most driving in in the lower rpm the tuning made a huge difference in daily driving. During max acceleration the tuning increased total power (area under the curve) dramatically resulting in a substantial increase in acceleration as well as smoothing out all the bumps in the power delivery curve. Huge difference. Dialed afr to between 12.7 and 13.2, dialed in more advance. In NY we can get 93 octane gas. ![]()

I'm not trying to rain on your parade, but your pre-tune numbers and post tune don't add up at all. Something weird is going on with that "after" dyno, as I've never seen a mustang dyno report read that high on torque for any N/A 370Z. Also, your mod list doesn't jive with the power you're seeing, if that dyno is correct. Would have been nice to see a before and after on the same dyno, as your pre-tune dynos seem to have torque numbers in the correct range, depending on the correction factor and all. You have to understand that so many factors can effect what the chart shows, particularly the dyno's weather station readouts and what CF settings are used at that particular shop. That's why dyno testing on the same dyno in the same weather conditions is so important. Anyway, glad you are enjoying the car! ![]() |
