If you aren't getting any CEL's then you should be okay, but we always recommend a tune when removing cats.

What's the thoughts on stock intakes and a z1 modified intake manifold with z1 test pipes and random cbe? I know there would be power to be gained, not really worried about that but would it run dangerously lean if these few mods are installed?

Always a good idea to tune if you are removing the cats.

Currently Running AAM Short Tails, and looking at picking up the AAM midpipe and either the Z1 Intake or AAM Intake (leaning towards Z1 due to Price and not needing to cut for the install). Will I need a tune?

Anyone? Currently have Z1 Motorsports intake and AAM Shorttails.

Z1 doesn't require a tune because maf's are in same location;just underneath pipe.
A tune would more than likely benefit anyone with a Z,mod's or no mod's.

Started & was tuned with their base kit & exhaust...then upgraded the CAI https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...efcd2f501a.jpg
I did open up the upper core a bit; so no pinching of the intake tubes.

Mine right now. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1a813a6207.jpg

Didn't like how tight the silicone in the rad supports but doesn't seem to negatively impact performance.

I'm thinking i used a 1/2" drill with a 3 5/8" hole saw.....carefully cut through the fiber's in the core.
Got a handle on the drill to hold tight-would suck to slip & nick a headlight or something.

BUMP!

Putting test pipes on with my full exhaust and JWT pop chargers + MAF tubes in a couple weeks. Am I okay to run (meaning spirited driving and WOT) for the time being without a tune? Or should I put the stock airboxes back on in the meantime to do this safely?

Getting a tune this summer, but not for a few weeks after install at the very least.
