My GTHAUS Meisterschaft Full Cat Back Exhaust
3 Attachment(s)
I finally received my GTHAUS Meisterschaft full cat back exhaust on Fri & had it installed on Fri after a good month & a half wait. Man it sounds effen clean/sick & exactly the same as the three videos posted, but even better since you are actually there. The wait & the price for the exhaust is well worth it.......ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT.
My gf & I went to the Kemah Boardwalk yesterday for the whole day and I parked at the very top of the parking garage in a far corner. When we were leaving there was a brand new white Mercedes Benz SLK parked a little bit down from me. I like where that persons head was at too. So when we were leaving the gf says my car is hot & that she loves the exhaust sound of my new exhaust. So the gf goes on to say that the sound of the exhaust & seeing me drive is making her wet. I'm like WOW...... I can definitely make something happen when we get back......LOL. I will say this about the Z. The Z is pretty sweet looking ride & heads will turn to see your ride & even more so if you have a clean sounding exhaust on it. The Z with exhaust is a PURE CHICK MAGNET -aka- PU**Y MAGNET. I cannot really described it, but it is just something about the look of the car & the after-market exhaust that just turns more heads. The panties just get wet for some reason, but I will not throw rocks at that. Oh on my way to Kemah there were these two guys in a black Infiniti G37S & they were on my a** & then cursing next to me checking out my car. The passenger rolled his window to hear the exhaust as I was in 6th cruising at 65mph. So when we came to a stop light & waited for it to turn green I opened her up until I hit 65 mph to cruise & you can see them in the rear view mirror looking at each other like WTF. They ended up passing me up & giving me thumbs up. I had a huge smile on my face. Here are some pics of the Meisterschaft exhaust. |
Make lots of videos ASAP lol
|
i helped my friend install this exhaust and it is just way to loud if you also have HFCs
|
Power gains???
|
+1 for videos!
|
All I did was replace the entire Nismo exhaust. I added the Meisterschaft full cat-back system (Y Pipe, Cat-Back-Mid Pipe & the rear mufflers). I do not own a video camera.......hmmm, but I might have to get one from Best Buy possibly. I'm not exactly sure about the exact power gains. GTHAUS says with their Meisterschaft full cat-back system you are looking at anywhere from 20-30hp gain. GTHAUS says you will not get the full 20-30hp gain once the full cat-back is on, but probably after 120-150 miles. I'm assuming it is like if one went with a CAI that you will have to put probably 100-150 miles before getting the possible maximum hp gain. If one has the full cat-back system & CAI, then a Tune will be definitely beneficial to pick-up any loss hp with the two.

Glad to see you like this exhaust. I also have a 12 Nismo and am going back and forth on what exhaust to get, although I'm leaning this way. I also posted this in another Meistershaft exhaust thread but I'll just ask you. I had Motordyne exhaust on my 350 (with ART pipes) and I was wondering how you would compare the tone and volume to that, if you have heard the other one before.
Also would adding ART pipes be a smart idea, or would that be too loud in your opinion? Also I saw on vivid that this was around the 1400 range, is that the full system (non titanium)? |
LOL............ I just posted right after your post on the other thread. I do not believe I have heard the Motordyne exhaust. I absolutely love the Meisterschaft full cat-back exhaust. As I have stated before & so have other it is well worth the wait & well worth the price. The Meisterschaft full cat-back exhaust has a very unique, distinctive & exotic sound to it. At the end of the day if you are too worried about the sound being raspy or neighbors, then the exhaust is not for you. If you are also worried about squeezing out every hp, then this is not for you either.
|
Haha I saw that. Sorry just really wanna order one by tomorrow and am having trouble with deciding. The loudness doesn't concern me. I was more curious as to if the ART pipes would make it a hasle in terms of how loud it is, or if leaving it standard would be fine.
I really like the exotic tone you're talking about. When I say rasp, I guess I really don't know too much of what that means as I haven't heard rasp in person (as far as I know). How would you define that? I guess what I'm looking for is "clean" but loud. Like sports car, not tin can vibrating type of sound. 350Z Motordyne Exhaust - YouTube this is what my z sounded like except I had ART pipes instead of test pipes so it was less tangy or tinny. I'm wondering in comparison what you would say. (Is linking like this allowed?) Thanks for your help dude. edit: Also did you say you had videos coming out/were out? If so where can I find them? |
The Meisterschaft full cat-back exhaust has more of an exotic sound than the Motordyne Exhaust in my opinion. I like the way the Motordyne sounds, but I would go with Meisterschaft. I will have to redo the videos. I have one that is good which starts from a cold start & I am reviving it up, but not excessively. Having me do a drive by is a little hard on my end. I may only be able to have one video unfortunately.
Here are three videos that give a pretty good & solid idea of what to expect from the Meisterschaft full cat-back exhaust. The first video is more spirited driving while the other two videos are just cold start & reviving up the car. If you were to look at the Nissan GTR with the Meisterschaft full cat-back exhaust that is another good example. The 370/Nismo Meisterschaft full cat-back exhaust would be a little louder that the GTR, but not by much from what I understand. ART pipes will deepen the note slightly, they won't add much to the volume.
This exhaust will give you rasp, rasp is what you hear when a riced out civic opens it up, like a buzzing sound. If you liked the 350Z Motordyne system, why don't you just get the same system for the 370? |

has some awesome lightning in it at 0:48, but this shows how load the exhaust is with HFCs |
Damn that's awesome and looks awesome. I can only imagine the sound in person. Good choice!

And i guess I just don't see what people are talking about with rasp then. Or maybe its a different kind of rasp. You're saying it sounds some what like a Lamborghini or something which is perfectly fine by me! Haha One last thing is you said you felt maybe a slight gain in power and were thinking it would improve after a little while. Do you plan on getting a dyno anytime in the future? Not that that is my main concern with exhaust I was just hoping for a bonus. Thanks for all your help. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2 |
No problem. Yes, I do have the full cat-back exhaust system (Section 1 Y Pipe, Section 2 Cat-Back Mid-Pipe & Section 3 Cat-Back Mufflers). On the cold start it has the Ferrari/Lamborghini sound in my opinion. GTHAUS states that there will be some hp gains around 20-30 hp, but you will not see all of it as in CAI until you have driven about 120-150 miles with the new modes on. I babied my Nismo for the first 1,200 miles. I never went past 4k rpm's & never went past 80 mph. I usually avg. at 3-3.5k rpms & 65-70 mph. I can say this for sure is that the sound has changed night & day. I might get a dyno sometime in the near future.
All right ladies here are a couple of video clips. Oh please see the two links below that I made today regarding the Meisterschaft exhaust sound. The first link is a cold start-up while I am reviving it, but didn't pass 7k rpms. The second link is while driving with windows up, having rpms not past 7k, and never breaking the speed limit. The first video is my favorite......... 2012 Nismo with GTHAUS Meisterschaft Full Cat-Back Exhaust System Part 1 - YouTube 2012 Nismo with GTHAUS Meisterschaft Full Cat-Back Exhaust System Part 2 - YouTube |
First video is my favorite, car sounds mean as hell! Truely an exotic sound. I can only imagine the attention your going to get lol. Great choice on the exhaust, always been a big fan of Meisterchaft. My brother had it on his M5 and sounded sick as well. Now the sound of your car matches the look of it! You feel any significant power or throttle difference?
|
Awesome. Thanks for all your help man. And coming through with the videos. Appreciate it.

How would one put a camera on the back bumper, or close enough to the exhaust while driving to give everyone a better sound idea under different loads. |
Haha I wish there were more too! I am in like the same position as you. A 2012 nismo. Have maybe taken it to 5 only recently as I've hit 1k miles. Waiting the extra 2 hundred to finally hit it fully. Haha

If you are going to order the Meisterschaft exhaust you better do it now before you have to wait 2-3 months before another shippment comes in.

give us a fly bye!!!!
|
I can see if I can get a friend to record me flying by. I wanted to give more than that & a truer & closer exhaust sound.
|
Gopro, great camera, crappier sound than an iphone/android. However, you can get a reasonable mic for under $20 that plugs straight into the gopro and can give you stereo sound.

GTHAUS - Meisterschaft Performance Exhaust Systems ::: ver 3.0 |
I have a few videos in my build thread of this exhaust on my car with a lot of different scenarios of driving conditions. For who ever said something about rasp it is not very bad, and is only heard through a small section of RPMS (mine may be a little worse due to HFC's). It does not sound anything like a bee can civic.
With that being said no one in person has ever said man your exhaust sounds bad or has RASP all I get are huge smiles, thumbs up, jaws dropped, and what exhaust is that?! |

better yet the best video would be someone recording you from another car, flyby, side by side, and so on. I mean you cant get the this exhaust and not expect this type of request

Mr&Mrs I forgot to ask you when I ordered my Meisterschaft exhaust form GTHAUS I spoke to a rep named Mickey & he said that there is a huge presents of the Meisterschaft exhaust down in Florida, or Southern Florida. Have you notice a huge presents of the Meisterschaft exhaust in your area?
I felt like a stalker trying to find your build-up & hear your exhaust. I like what I heard. You have done a lot of work to your Z & it looks effen clean looking. I also love the ladies next to your ride. |
