How would you know what the rmps were if it was never shown? It could have been 2.8k or 4.2k rpms.

There is no such thing as the perfect exhaust system sound. People are just going to b**ch & complain about the exhaust. They will always say it is too loud, too raspy, or it is too something. Half the time the people are just jealous of the sexy sound, or just flat out cannot afford an unique exhaust sound. Go buy a generic exhaust & call it a day, or just get a Prius. If one put his/her foot on the accelerator the exhaust note will get louder & if he/she is just cruising, then the exhaust note will not be loud (would be flat). You have to remember that you have to pay to play. The more unique & distinctive you want your exhaust to be, then the more one will usually have to pay.

This seems kinda hostile dude. No offense intended. I'm just picky with my exhaust note. And implying people being picky about the exhaust does not indicate being jealous due to cost issues. Most people here buying brand new 370s, while not overly expensive, have no issues dropping a few thousand on a great sound. That's why all the research is done and the desire to see multiple videos is abundant. We want to know were getting exactly what we want. Personal preference does not indicate a bad or good exhaust nor does it mean jealousy or a desire to own a Prius. I just want what I consider is the best.

Just what it sounded like, didn't know for sure, but it was the same point each time the car accelerated :)

Not being hostile & not offended one bit. We are all a little bit picky when it comes to our exhaust. At some point you will have to make an executive decision. Personally I think you should just go with a F. I. exhaust & call it a day. I'm not saying you in general, but people do try to find something wrong or something to complain about regarding the exhaust note. Yes hearing, seeing & requesting lots of exhaust videos (or watching YouTube videos) is one thing, but seeing & hearing is totally a different story. Try to find people in your area to actually hear the exhaust is your very best bet.

Some people might not have an issue with dropping a couple to several grand on an exhaust, but most will not see to it b/c of budget issues. Theses budget issue could be b/c they also want to redo their stereo, rims, body kit, other mods & etc. This is why sometimes you see threads regarding getting a good used exhaust, or getting the best sound for the cheapest price. If money was never an issue, then we would all have the very best of the best on our car or in our car.

Some of these vids match very closely to how this exhaust sounds in person.

Also, to confirm, if you shift in the 2.5-3k rpm range, you won't go over your counties sound laws. I have an 80 decibel law and have never been pulled over. In fact many people where I live compliment my car and its sound because I do the fun stuff away from where I live so they don't get angry.

I do question whether it's worth the money. Even used I could get a F.I. cheaper. The money in this exhaust is more int he build quality than any kind of gains or sound. The latter is of course nice, but you have 3 welds per curve on this exhaust. This thing would probably survive a nuclear blast lol. The build quality is probably not necessary, but it shows they care about their product.

I still havn't got mine tuned yet (still plan on it) because I've been busy, but it wouldn't suprise me if there were gains in the 10 bhp+ range. I can't confirm that of course until I get a tune.

Everyone has to make their own decision. If you just want the sound, I"m sure someone could make an exahaust that sounds similar for much cheaper, but no one does yet, so you are left with GT HAUS.

I'll keep you all posted on the main GT HAUS thread of when I go to get a tune.

IMO F.I. will probably give more gain. It also looks better from the rear looking at it. However, GT HAUS has a better build quality, sounds better, and requires no modification to install(which goes back to build quality). ZInferno had to do some cutting to get his installed in the right rear.

+1....... :iagree: I have said this countless times to where I was a broken record & so have others. Normal driving shifts might go to maybe 4k, but usually 2.5-3.5k rpms. If you want to be heard & seen, then go past 4k & beyond.

The F. I. exhaust would be cheaper, but the sound will not even be the same. The R&D & quality of the craftsmanship is phenomenal with the Meisterschaft exhaust. As I have stated that GTHAUS claims that the full cat-back exhaust will get you anywhere from 20-30 hp, but this also depends on a lot of different variables. The F. I. exhaust will definitely give you more gains, but I'm in it for the exhaust sound & not trying to squeeze every hp I can.

Hey man, what did the whole system end up costing you? And did you get it from gthaus website? Or did you get it else where? Are you still liking it? I've been doing ton of research on this thing and I'm about to buy one with in the next week or so.

I bought the entire setup from GTHAUS and I paid $2,500. You have to remember this was all most five years ago, so the price will increase over time. The exhaust tips are now larger and sexy looking.

I just recently purchased my Meisterschaft exhaust and I think it came to $2650
