Making a Titanium exhaust
So to me the Exhaust sets the tone for a car. The exhaust note, looks and style of the exhaust all that matters to me. The Exhaust i want is ultimately the Amuse R1 system with Meisterschaft Y pipe. But to much (4000) and the wait is way to long (2 months).
Anyways let me get to the point. I want a exhaust to sound like the Meisterschaft system but looks like the Amuse R1. So been looking and i found the Exoticspeed exhaust (which i had on my 350z) which looks good but lacks sound. Guess i need to compromise? Well thats what i thought... until i found out about how the exoticspeed exhaust is anodized to make it look titanium. I want to Anodize the Meisterschaft system!! been looking around for a shop and alot of dead ends can someone help me? anyone know of a shop that can perform this for me? Down below are Ark mufflers that were Anodized to give you a idea

I'm sorry this part threw me off that conclusion completely.

Its going to be tough trying to find good work in that area. As for the sound, its not that simple. There are other variables that you must consider when trying to get the sound that you want out of your Z. If you want the mistershaft sound, you have the get the mistershaft exhaust. The combination of pipe bends, resonators, thickness of piping, their signature mufflers, and even the tip plays a role in creating a signature sound.

Just get the Meisterschaft if that's the sound you like.

Anodizing stainless steel is an extremely rare undertaking... mostly because it doesn't really serve any purpose. Good luck finding someone to do something as large as an exhaust system.
I actually wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it were cheaper to just buy a titanium exhaust. Just out of curiosity: how many of the shops that you called laughed at the request? |
