All these guys saying leve it must all have flawless cars LOL. There are several things on my car that only I can notice but drive me insane so I can relate to the OP. Call Tony he will help you out big time.

PS. What you did is my biggest fear with this exhaust LOL. I must get out 10 times to check how close to the curb I am before I turn the car off.

If we all had flawless cars we would tell him to get it fixed immediately. Instead I'll say its just some cosmetic damage and pay better attention when driving or get a backup camera. The investment to repair/replace is not cost effective to me unless there is a loss of functionality. But its not my money and its not my problem, so good luck to the OP, and hope everything works out for the best.

i got a much much smaller ding on one of my mufflers which cannot even be seen without crawling under the car, it still drives me crazy but the cost of replacement is not worth it in my case.
If i were you i would replace them both, but thats just me

Sorry this happened to you & I know it sucks. Yeah the marks are there & since the sound hasn't changed & no leaks, then I wouldn't worry too much about it. How many people are going to look at the bottom of the exhaust on your car, or really notice it? Far from few will actually see it, but they will notice it if you point it out someone. FYI.......going forward just remember to be extra carefully backing up.

Yeah u got a point there buddy! I agree! But for me and others. (maybe just only me. Lol!) its hard to live with it buddy. Specially if u know u got a messed right there and specially if u taking a good cares of it. Like something bugging in your mind over and over again. I don't know how to explain it. But it's hard to live with it buddy!

Have you thought about spraying it with hi-temp black paint? It wouldn't be as noticeable and create more of a stock look as well as save you a lot of $$$.

or you could sand the damaged bottoms off and have a plate welded on. Would also yield more clearance.

I was expecting to see something that looked it had been through a war...

I wouldn't sweat it at all. Sure, it's affecting flow to some degree but not enough to matter. Maybe a tenth of 1 horsepower you're losing lol.

I ended up having the same issue. Somehow a rock managed to get flung up by my tire and ended up hitting the muffler (I heard it when it happened). There was cosmetic damage, but nothing that changed the tone or restricted performance. The muffler was dented, as long as the muffler isn't caved in to the point it's pinching the 2.5" piping you should be fine. Eye sore over anything else.

That sucks, whilst it's barely any damage, it's plenty to see and really annoying for the OP because he paid a pretty penny for that system. I'd want it to stay looking good if i'd done that.

However, it's probably a fair amount of cash to have those fixed, so it's how much can you live with or afford to spend again.

Definitely look into a little driving finesse though, these cars are *short*, it's quite the skill the back into a curb like this!

Possibly related, something i noticed since moving here, why do so many American drivers, park with the front or rear overhang of the car, hanging over the curb?! It's bizarre, the parking spaces are huge here!

I have a muffler where the top of the can is damaged (from transport)... the only way it is visibile is on a lift... still bothers me to this day. I also have a gash under a side skirt... again only visible on a lift. Bothers me.

Hard to explain but sometimes just knowing something is there is enough to drive you crazy.
