Mustang also features an industry-first Induction Sound Tube (IST), which enhances the driving experience by piping the sound of the induction system directly into the passenger compartment.

There was no ruckus and there weren't any personal attacks going on. We were being sarcastic and humorous in our suggestions for making more interior exhaust noise, like drilling holes in exhaust and floorboards, etc. The techniques are similar to the mustang's sound induction tubes, just thatwe were getting laughs out of it. I'll be honest, I didn't read the forum conduct rules and didn't realize that humor isn't allowed in this forum. My apologies.

woah there!! ok so you wanna hear the cars noise more in your cabin right? Well short of HFCs or a new exhaust you could also get a pair of pop chargers - you wont be hearing exhaust but the engine noise will be amazing

my bad, i was just messing around. the JWT intakes are a good idea though. they sound very nice WOT. also when i got my 5Zigen exhaust i got the rear section before the y-pipe and it sounded very good but wasnt real loud. just some things to think about.

the sound induction thingy is interesting. never heard of anyting like that before. kinda weird

Thanks for all the suggestions everybody. By the way, I didnīt really feel offended by the "humorous" posts, but a little annoyed. It turned out that this forum is operated by respectable moderators..thanks guys. The reason why I donīt want to change the sound that you hear from outside of the car is simply because I personally donīt want to be heard from 10 miles away. I recently drove a porsche cayman s and compared to the 370z it sounds like a "real" sportscar from the inside, but quite decent from the outside....hence my question.

it may have sounded better from the inside but did you know that your new Z is faster?

A lot of that has to do with sound induction through the firewall and proximity of the engine with the mid engine layout. I agree that it is cool. If sounds like your back is right up against the engine. I've never seen a front engine car that gives you sound like that. Maybe the mustang with the sound induction tube?

All the tests I have seen puts the Z slightly slower than the Cayman S. Additionaly, There was a new test at Car and Driver or Motortrend that got 0-60 in 4.4 and 12.6 quarter mile for a PDK equipped 310 hp Boxster S.

I highly doubt that this guy is gonna trade in a BRAND NEW porche for a 370Z.I was going for one that's not the newest one out. Just look up "cayman s 0-60" you'll see what I mean. (370Z is 4.7 and "rsportscars" says caymanS is 5 by the way)

Plus idk about you but just knowing that my car even competes with a legendary porche like that just makes me excited. I mean were not exactly in the same category. How much does the cayman cost by the way? last time i checked it was almost double (out the door) the cost of mine. im just saying
