Top Speed or Fast Intentions???
Im in the market for an exhaust for my Z and I'm down to Top Speed or Fast Intentions. I don't just look at one thing, I try to look at everything the exhaust as to offer. I know that Top Speed is cheaper in price by several hundred, which is a plus, and from what Ive seen, Fast Intentions only has about a 5-6hp difference over Top Speed. I know there are a lot of FI fans on here, but can someone give me an honest pros/cons difference or opinion?
Thanks guys!!! |

If I recall correctly, the Top Speed exhaust is not a full cat back system, and doesn't replace the Y-Pipe. It also is not a true dual exhaust system like the FI TDX system. However, you are correct - it is much cheaper, and you won't have to wait months to get a brand new FI TDX system.
That being said, the FI TDX system is a truly top notch exhaust, made right here in the USA by Tony. It does produce more power than the TS exhaust, and personally, I think it looks better. It's really down to what you are looking for in the exhausts - they both sound different, and if power doesn't really matter to you, then the only variables are sound and price.

While topspeed isnt a true dual, it makes up for that by italizing the scavaging effect of the engine better.
its really down to budget. if i had the money, i would go FI, but with a budget in mind it would be top speed without a doubt. they are the best low end exhaust u can buy probably (other than cnt ) FI looks FANTASTIC and sounds great. but from the videos i have seen online, the topspeed sound really good too.

Thank you for taking an interest in our products. Personally I do not have a lot of experience with the Top Speed so I really cannot comment on it! As for our system we have many options in terms of sound level and pricing. Please do not hesitate to call me directly with any questions that you may have and we can go from there. Thank you, Tony

I have no experience with Top Speed, but I have a lot of experience with Tony and Fast Intentions. I would still go with F.I. even if the exhaust was just average (but it is actually awesome) because of Tony's more than exceptional customer service AND his work ethic/support. I cannot say enough about Tony and his team! You would have to work really hard to go wrong with F.I.!

I do not know anything about Top Speed. At first I was thinking does he mean Top Secret, but I remember that I have heard about Top Speed. I would go personally go with F.I exhaust.

Another vote here for F.I., why, here's why:
1. More hp, maybe only 5-6whp, but with n/a mods, it counts. 2. Build quality--it's top notch, some of the best I've ever seen. 3. Customer service, Tony has some of the best customer service I've ever experienced period, not just car related purchases, but in general. |
