Default EXHAUST opinions

Hello everyone!

I'm in the market for an aftermarket exhaust and just wanted to see what you opinions were, please?

I prefer a deeper tone and not too droney and loud.

I am also looking for ones with the blue burnt tips

Any suggestions? I am trying to stay under $600, so in the market for a used Catback system.

So far, I really liked the Stillen and Invidia Gemini sound clips on youtube.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

thank you!

Well asking about what exhaust to get is an extremely broad question to ask. There are numerous topics here about different exhaust & you can hear the exhaust sounds as well. You will get hundreds of different responses on which exhaust is better. A lot of people would say fast intentions exhaust (FI exhaust) b/c that seems to be the most popular/common. I believe the blue burnt tips that you are wanting is titanium & you are going to spend some money on those (more than stainless steel). If your Z is your DD, then it is not worth spending the money on titanium bc they will sound exactly the same as stainless steel. Now if you are looking to go to the track & want to shed some weight then go titanium. You might (key word is might) have a really hard time finding a good used CBE (cat back exhaust) for under $600 & you will have to increase that amount to at least grand if not a little more. I have never priced or looked around for used CBE's before.

Thanks for the response!

AH got it. I figured since there were brand new exhausts on line for about 6~7 hundred, a used one should be a lot cheaper no?

for instance this Megan exhaust:

Megan Racing OE-RS Exhaust Nissan 370Z (09-11) Blue Tip

Or this Invidia Gemini Exhaust.

Invidia Gemini Ti DL Catback Exhaust Nissan 370Z 2009+ [HS09N7ZGID] - Mosaic Motorsports

Yeah I am looking for stainless steel with the burnt tips!

I was wondering if there was a cheaper alternative to the Fast intentions, because those sounded real good

thanks!

I do not know that much about either one of those exhaust. There is a thread about the Megan exhaust & this exhaust does not have a huge fan base for the Z's. There is possibly a thread or two about the Invidia Gemini exhaust I believe. You are more than welcome to buy the Megan exhaust & let us know what you think & the sound quality & how long it actually last you. IMO I believe you might end up not being satisfied with the Megan exhaust.

IMO I would probably go with the Invidia Gemini exhaust over the Megan exhaust. I have seen & read more about the Invidia Gemini exhaust than the Megan exhaust. From what I have gathered is that Invidia is a more solid product/company than Megan. Please do your research & listen to different exhaust sounds & try not to jump on the first exhaust that you see & that looks cool to you.

For under $600 there are really only 2 real options

this:

Nissan 370Z Z34 09-11 Top Speed Pro-1 70mm Catback Exhaust System Systems Race | eBay

or this:

CNT Racing Catback Exhaust - CB-370Z - Nissan - 370Z - From: 2009 - To: 2011 | NextGenTuning.com

both have decent reviews on this forum. and i think u will find that most people like the quality and sound of these 2 systems generally. u can find videos of both around youtube.

if u want a deeper tone, then a megan exhaust is the opposite of that. defiantely the highest pitched exhaust i've heard on these cars yet

What's the difference between the DL and SL Invidia Gemini exhausts? They look the same to me...

There's a guy selling a Magnaflow Exhaust System for 700 shipped in parts for sale pretty much BNIB. I just ordered the CNT CBE myself.
