Bolt-on power gains...?

I just ordered a few bolt-on items for my 370Z. They are the Stillen HFC, cat-back exhaust, Gen-2 Cold air intake. The other is the sway bar kit, but there's no HP gain in that ;-)

What I was wondering was what the WHP gains from adding these components would be? I am guessing in the range of 20WHP. Am I close?

The Gen-2 intake dyno'd at only 2 hp gained, that's why they came out with the Gen-3 for the 3.7 motors with a claimed 18 hp.

they got like 14 hp on some ppl's dynos...not bad...the G3's though

Every car is different. You should get a baseline dyno done, then another one after all your parts are installed. Then share your results with the rest of us! :) I think you should expect ~30whp, possibly a little more, possibly a little less.

Thanks for the info. It was a bit higher than I had estimated. And yes, I should have a baseline dyno to work with. But, the car will be having all these goodies installed after the PDI at the dealership before I take delivery... so that Dyno is going to be impossible.

Thanks again to all...:bowrofl:

Aw man, that almost takes the fun out of it, because you don't get to feel the difference after you get used to the stock power and then get the bump in power from the gmods. You'll just have the extra power from the start and that'll feel 'normal' to you. Ah well . . .

Yep, I have driven a Z twice now. Both 6mt...had a blast but scared the sh**t out of the salesman. (And that's why people should never buy a performance sports car that's been test driven.):icon14:
