My other car became a flood victim in last years hurricane and I still haven't bought a second one. From my experience with it, you cannot have high flow cats or test pipes with it on, trust me or ur ears will bleed. Knowing that with the G37x it comes in auto with the automanual setup. I cannot knowingly drive my car in my neighborhood in auto anymore because going from the first gear to second with it is insanely loud. When I drive in automanual, I cannot have this go over 3.5k or it gets really loud also. On the highway it is a different story, it quiets down a lot. Compared to my friend who has the Meisterschaft on is C300 mine is much louder. The guys over at Akuma actually compared the loudness to the one they use on one of their track GTR's. I've had it on for about 1000 miles so far and I have scared the **** out people with it. I suggest the setup if you dont daily your car, but if you do def not. I know for my future plans I can't keep this setup and have already contacted Amuse into making a system for my car.

Just noticed that the OP is from NJ. Hope you're not living in a town where cops like to harass you for anything, cause it will get you pulled over.
WOW..... I am sorry to hear that. So knowing what you know, then why don't you shift at 3k rpm's or less then (not trying to be an a**)? I definitely appreciate the insight. For me my '12 Nismo is not my DD & I know ahead now to shift before or at 3k rpm's.

I consider myself a very weird & unique individual. I do not like to be like everyone else. I have notice that everyone wants the FI exhaust. It does sound nice, but you are just the avg. run in the mill & your Z will sound almost identical to every other Z out there. Please don't get me wrong the FI does sound bad a** & that would be my 2nd choice. It is like someone wanting to get a Mustang & put Flowmasters, or Borla exhaust as their exhaust system. It is way to effen common.

I also look at it as if you actually had a Ferrari 458 or Lamborghini Gallardo b/c their exhaust is not quite at all. Your neighbors will know when you pull into your driveway not unless your house sits on several acres. The Meisterschaft Exhaust is not for everybody & if you truly want it, then you have done your research & you know that this is what you truly want.

I have the full system with hfc's on my G37 coupe and it sounds like nothing you ever heard. Do not get it with hfc's or tp's because it gets very raspy over 4k RPM. If you shift around 2.5-3.5 the system sounds amazing with no rasp, anything over that your ears will suffer and it will get raspy. Funny thing is, I never took it past 5k rpm lmao. Ive gotten a semi headache every long highway ride over 1.5hrs so thats why im removing the hfc's and then it should sound perfect. Its a head turner and a compliment machine lol. I got it because the sound is just incredible and its very very rare exhaust on my G. Any more questions just shoot em.

Hmm, i love the look of this system, it's certainly built well, but that onboard vid on the last page just sounded like a ton of rasp

He was driving in auto which makes it sound like total ****, plus he got it up to like 7k rpm. The only way to make this exhaust sound good is to drive it in a auto car but use the manual shifting, or in just a regular manual car. IMO

I had this on my Z first and then switched it out to the FI TDX 18" resonators.

It was too loud for me. I was constantly under shifting to keep it under 3K RPM to lessen the sound. I got looks all the time and was scared I was going to get pulled over. I have no front plate too and thought this was going to bring me way too much attention. I got complaints from the HOA that my car was too loud, and that I was going to get fined. As a DD it was just too much. For a track beast it would be perfect. I really did love the sound and it sounded insane in tunnels or under over passes! Loved gunning it! As far as power, I do feel the FI TDX has more power though, I felt an increase when I switched to it.

But you had hfc's on it like I did. I bet it will sound 10x better without hfc's.

First off if you are even remotely concerned about it being too loud, this exhaust is not for you. The piping is bigger than stock so gains should be had, how much is the question, if you are concerned about gains first then go fast intentions...like everyone else.

You can't sound as close to F1 as possible without accepting that the exhaust is loud. This exhaust is meant for only the fiends that need that SCREAM in their Z.

Btw, I had it for awhile, with fast intentions long tube headers and I have received compliments from cops about how nice it sounded. Of course I don't recommend flying by one at redline but come on, live a little.

+1....... As I stated earlier somewhere that GT Haus says you will get b/w 20-30hp with all three sections, but probably 12-15whp. My '12 Nismo will not be my DD which is pretty good, so I am not worried about it. On the highway I can see opening her up, but not in a rural area. If you are going to be pretty anal about the exhaust, then shift at 3k or 4k, or do not get it at all. How often do you see a Ferrari or Lamborghini red lining through there gears? I can see every once in awhile, or once in a blue moon taking her to the limit possibly. I will agree that you would get a headache & eventually have your ears bleed if you are constantly red lining at every effen red light or stop sign.

There's a lot of good info here in helping me decide on this. I had Motordyne exhaust with their ART pipes on my 350 and was wondering if anyone here has heard both Motordyne and this exhaust in person and would care to compare. I know there are videos but honestly those never do exhaust justice. I just want to kind of see an update on how people are liking this versus other exhausts.

Also, is there really no rasp on this setup? I know someone said there was but one opinion isn't always a mutual thing.

And lastly, if I was to put ART pipes with this CBE would that be the point where it becomes too loud? Also would that even fit?

Thanks guys

I just got the Meisterschaft full cat-back exhaust on Fri & had it installed on Fri as well. I created a thread about this on the 27th of May. I shot two videos today which I will post later on today. The first video is just turning on the car (cold start) & reviving it up, but not excessively since it is Memorial Day. The second video was a drive, but with the windows up & not breaking any speed limit while doing so.

As I have stated several times & so has others that the Meisterschaft full cat-back exhaust is worth the wait & worth the price. The Meisterschaft full cat-back exhaust has a very unique, distinctive & exotic sound to it. At the end of the day if you are too worried about the sound being raspy or neighbors, then the exhaust is not for you. If you are also worried about squeezing out every hp, then this is not for you either.

I know NYBladeZ had the Meisterschaft full cat-back exhaust along with the F. I. long tube headers & he absolutely loved it. I have the Meisterschaft full cat-back exhaust & I absolutely love it without a question. Once again at the end of the day to each is own. It is your money & no one else's & if you are happy with your exhaust purchase, then that is all that matters.

If people are complaining about how loud it is why not throw in some 12" resonators to get the perfect sound. Duh!

its been awhile but not long enough where I have forgotten the great sound that is the GTHaus exhaust. If you plan on changing the exhaust at all to make it quieter than honestly sell the damn thing to someone who doesn't care and wants what GTHaus is selling. The exhaust is marketed as the most hardcore sounding exhaust, if that doesn't work for you or you are remotely scared, find something else. I miss that sound but from what forum member Gauge is stating, I'm happy it went to someone who appreciates it.

OH MY......when starting up the Z with the full cat-back exhaust at a cold start sounds so EFFEN SEXY. When you get on it & have the RPMS souring & your switching through the gears is nice....very nice. Oh when driving & down shifting is pure sex too. The Meisterschaft exhaust is not for everyone, but just the pure exotic sound is a complete head turner. Mark my words that you will get lots of thumbs up & complements.
