Who has Meisterschaft Exhaust? If yes, Answer my questions please!!!

Worth every penny in my opinion. Of all the parts I sold off my Z, sending out the Meister was the hardest to part with

Is the exhaust significantly less loud if you just use the axleback? I'd like to add this to my nismo, and I used to have an Ark Grip on my last car.

Just the axelback will be less intense compared to the full catback. I have heard both setups and they sound completely different. On my Nismo, I pulled off the restrictive H pipe and replaced it with a 2.5 inch X pipe. So when I install my Meisterschaft axelback, it will sound closer to the full catback. I highly reccommend upgrading the H pipe and not converting to a Y pipe.
(Which is more restrictive IMO)

Would you say just axle back would be not too obnoxious for daily driving if I kept everything else stock on nismo? I love strong sounding sounding exhausts just don't want to annoy my neighbors at 5am going to work

Little update on this.

I've heard videos with this cat back and test pipes and it sounds awful. So to try to tame the beast, I'm going to be buying motordyne ART pipes to see if We can get the extra power without all the noise. Supposedly these pipes are quieter than HFC's. We'll see.

If it doesn't workout then I might be moving on to shockwave or fast intentions.

I'm love the sound as is. Especially with a CAI. Really refines the sound slightly. But I want the gains of test pipes since my county in WI doesn't do emissions testing. Si Test pipes is happening. I want to do everything in my power to keep this exhaust. Even though I do love the loud bad *** sound it makes, if these test pipes can't tame it, it might be time... which would make me very sad.

Also in these videos the test pipes make it sound like **** IMO. It' snot even the volume, it's just the noise it makes is unbearable. Could be the pipes they used, IDK. Sounds great with stock cats though. Wouldn't change a thing. I'm praying these ART pipes do the trick.

As far as I know, no one has done meisterschaft cat back with ART pipes

Its loud and can be raspy but that's what you get when you go GT Haus. The BIGGEST CONCERN should be the lack of dyno results. GTHaus keeps the Y pipe design which leads me to believe that there are only nominal gains. Ask yourself do you like the sound, if the sound is a big deal to you like it was to me then the lack of gains compared to other exhausts won't be a big deal.

I love the sound as is. But you really should youtube this cat back with test pipes. It sounds nasty. It completely ruins the sound. It's not even close to the same. So I'm hoping these test pipes will keep the sound as close as possible to what I have. But I'm def going test pipes because it's impossible to go from cats to no cats and not see gains lol. Like I said, if I can keep my current sound, or anything close to it, the exhaust stays, but it it sounds like it does on youtube... yuck.

Who knows. Youtube sorta sucks for sound comparisons anyways. Might sound completely different in person.

Oh btw for those interested, I dyno'd on a dynojet with FI long tube headers, meisterschaft, K&N drop in filters and made about ~300whp. I probably could have eaked out a few more hp say closer to 310-312whp with a retune. With Injen intakes and a re-tune I'd definitely put it closer to 315whp.

Based off what you're saying, Gauge, i think the ART pipes will do the trick. As well as gaining where TP's lose, they keep the sound under great control

I have the axle back alone and it sounds amazing, I previously had Fast Intentions and Tanabe full CBE, and my GTHAUS muffler alone is my favorite. Can't wait to put the rest of it on, sounds amazing.

I ran a Meisterschaft axle-back for a year. Now just put on AAM S-Line mid-section 2.5" (mid-section and y-pipe) vs 2.25" (OEM mid-section and y-pipe), big difference in sound and power.

If you run Meisterschaft 3" mid-section / y-pipe, it going sound more awesome, more exhaust ticket if you can afford that lol.

Here is the thing. If you just get the rear section (axle-back) - you get the amazing noise without the insane loudness of the full cat-back setup.

Also, I have been bugging GT Haus to make a 120mm round tip for this setup for a while (I have a Nismo and don't want to loose the look of the 120mm tips....). Anyways, they said they would do it - and the price they quoted isn't bad (considering it would be custom fab), but I know they could make it cheaper if enough people wanted it.

If anyone is interested in a 120mm round tip setup - let them know.
