I saw that the test pipes have a mech. cel fix. Does this work? Also do you think that the cel fix in addition to some spacers or plug foulers

I saw that the test pipes have a mech. cel fix. Does this work? Also do you think that the cel fix in addition to some spacers or plug foulers could remedy the cel or is it inevitable? also is the smell unbearable? I had them in my vette and it was pretty bad. I plan on staying with the stock exhaust and possibly a y pipe. I am looking to do these in the near future so any help would be great! thanks in advance
