CNT HFC's + FI non resonated exhaust
Looking to pic up the CNT cats but can someone please tell me if this combo will make me raspy?

Gonna sound like a baseball card stuck in your spokes

With that being said, if you add resonators to your x pipe this will help smoothen out your exhaust note. It will also create more depth and fullness to your exhaust note! Call me if you have any questions. Thanks, Tony |
I have the CNT with FI 18 Resonated, and I have very little rasp if any. Like Tony said the x pipe smooths the sound out.
|
what about getting the FI resonated cats? Will that have a similar effect as having resonators in the x-pipe?
|
i had 12" resonators with Berk HFCs and there was rasp. I would go with 18's if you wanna get HFCs

I am trying to decide between the new resonated ARK HFC's and the FI resonated HFC's. If the FI ones have already been proven to eliminate rasp then I will get those for sure. Otherwise I guess I have to take a risk and hope that the ARK cats can live up to what ARK has promised |
What about ART test pipes? Supposedly they eliminate rasp better than hfc
|
I would love to get test pipes but I have to get yearly emissions testing where I live. Plus I am scared of what will happen when the Fuzz smell the fumes and pull me over
BTW I live in the Atlanta area and have asked for input from other Atlanta members about this before but never feel like I have gotten a good answer. If anyone can chime in about how the get away with having no cats please let me know or send a PM if you would rather do that. Thanks! |
I don't have any rasp even when cold with my Berk HFCs and FI 12" resonated exhaust. Here's a sound clip:

I don't think its the cbe, its the hfc. I have invidia cbe and have a rasp/hiss during deceleration. Nothing major, I say just go for it.

That is a very clean sound, I like it. I just wish I knew if I would sound that clean without resonators. Quote:
