Has anyone attempted to screw around with a larger throttle body on the VQ37VHR??

There was one member that bored his out. But I don't think he ever got back to us on results. Mods of this nature are really not going to do much. Stick with the basic.

im the one who did the mod and from a relatively quick test at the time , it did show a positive result.
I said in a same topic previous post , that I would redo the test in April with a before and after both tuned. Im still planning for this , I just came back this morning from a Military exercice in Ft Irwing,California and I have 2 week off , I might manage to do it around the end. Im even looking to do a modification in the near future to accept 2x DE Throttle body (people say they are anything between 68-70mm) instead of the 60mm on the OEM VHR throttle body |

The OEM units on our cars are 60mm?
I tried to contact MaxBore.com about doing it and he said that it was possible but then never got back with me after. It may be possible to bore the stock ones out for more airflow and then port match the runners on the intake manifold. |

Did you enlarge the intake piping as well?

the inlet on the intake manifold is about 63-64mm
my CAI start at 3'' then has a reducer down to about 64mm at the MAF(cant rememeber exactly , then got back up to 2 3/4 at the Throtlte body'' it is a custom CAI that I had made 2 years ago |
