Yeah Buddy! Your investment is most appreciated. So who will be doing the install and what did the final price and part list come out to be?

red6spd 03-13-2012 11:07 AM

How much? You installing yourself or a shop?

Just ordered the cams alone as when I asked aboutbthe support mods turns out that they are bit nessasary, I'll install it at my friends shop he's a pro mechanic, gave me an excellent rate around 400$ for install, he said it's just part of the labor that he's charging me and that's why it a bit low, will have pretty much full Bolt ons when it's all said and done.

zuperman 370 03-13-2012 02:26 PM

Now the main question I have for u guys is as follows, my current mods are LTH TS intake motordyne xyz pipe and amuse stti exhaust and my car in not tuned, I am planning as well to order the motordyne intake manifold as well now, so should I install the manifold get the car tuned by uprev and dynoed and then after install the cams and retune and dyno to see the actual gains from the cams? I don't want to install the manifold and cams and then tune cuz we won't really know the true gains of the cams, wha do you guys think please chime in

The Dimer 03-13-2012 02:53 PM

I say get everything else installed and tuned prior to the cam install. Then install the cams and retune.

+1 for making the investment to help he community.

SS_Firehawk 03-13-2012 02:59 PM

Zuperman370 has larger stones than nearly all of of here on the forums. Get everything tuned prior to the cams so the changes are clear. A bit more money out of pocket, but it gives peace of mind.

zuperman 370 03-13-2012 03:04 PM

I agree I was thinking that I would be spending a bit more but at least we will all have the piece of mind of knowing the true gains that the cams yield and if it's a investment that's worth it, I have good hopes for these cams
