Ummmm... there's nothing to CUT. The radiator supports simply unbolt. Might even be just one bolt each, its been awhile, I don't remember exactly.

Isn't that from the stillen instructions? Don't the takedas just require the removal of the plastic duct and you insert the part from the takeda intake?

You DO NOT HAVE to cut anything. That is how I did mine, individual results may vary...

I think the point of cutting when installing takedas is so that the silicon tubes have more room going through the opening and don't need to be deformed as much. Just makes the flow of air more smooth. Obviously you don't NEED to cut anything hence why they used silicon tubes in the first place.
Didn't know you could easily unbolt the whole thing, they also provide some support for the tubes so that they don't rest directly on AC lines. Was just pointing out where one might cut if they wanted to. Last edited by lemon-fresh; 05-15-2013 at 03:46 PM. |

Would you recommend doing this for the takeda intakes? Any difference in power?

There should be no reason for the tubes to be resting on any lines... between the filter mounted to that bracket and the tubes at the engine, the intake is fairly firmly mounted.

Can you please post the dyno test? I thought & figured the Takeda's would give you more hp than the K&N drop in's.
