From what I've read... no big difference. Either way, we are talking about a CAI on a N/A motor... it's not going to work magic.

LOL........ I wouldn't expect one to produce 18hp & the other 100hp.

In the end I'm guessing go with the one that gives you the best deal.

Stillen requires cutting/drilling, while the Takeda system does not.

If you guys need price-match or price quote, shoot me a PM.

You can search for that info. I for one, have no interest in running on a dyno for an intake, but I'm sure someone else has.

and for fun, Stillen.
this is the official / advertised numbers for both takeda and stillen. take it for what you will.

as far as the dyno graphs go they were done on a mustang (takeda) and a dynojet (stillen) it looks at least to me the way the stillens are is that you actually dont gain much torque until after 7250 rpm around +4-7 tq entire powerband then at 7250 it jumps to+13 where as the takeda shows a gain of about +12-15 across the entire band. the same thing goes for hp... so idk if its just the dyno difference doing that or what

I the Takeda is FTW IMHO. The price is right & there really isn't a huge difference b/w the Takeda & Stillen except that you do not have to cut any. This might kind of be a stupid question here & if so I am sorry. This is my first time to actually thinking about pulling the trigger on a CAI. How often do you have to clean the filter, or even replace the filter? I'm guessing clean the CAI filter at every oil change (or every other oil change) & replace the CAI at 20-30k miles.

Usually it's anywhere from 15K-20K miles - but it really depends on the conditions of the filters.

Takeda is definitely FTW in my books too

Responded to some of the PMs that were shot my way. If you are looking for the best deals on Takeda systems, shoot me a PM. We are an authorized direct dealer and stocking distributor.

You don't replace the filter in the Takeda. It's an aFe Pro Dry S filter, so you clean it with water, let it dry and reinstall.

again, YMMV. Even if they were the same dyno, any little change in weather, setting, etc. could result in a different result. To me, it's all basically within the noise. You will get similar performance with both. In my opinion, you get an easier installation and maintenance product with the Takeda.

So you get a little more noise with the Takeda (in a good way)?
