Are these intakes really worth the money? I've read the thread and done my research but those of you that have it do you mind to chime in and add any comments/persuasion? Thanks

Ive had mine for about a year now and haven't looked back. To be honest I look at stillen and laugh cause people spent more money to cut up their car.

They're just a big piece of the puzzle. By themselves, they are neither the beginning nor the end, but without them, the picture is incomplete.

im just wondering if i have to wrap my AC lines with anything cuz i know the stillens end up messing with the AC line cuz of the metal tubes but the takeda has plastic instead of the metal passing through the radiator support...did anyone do this when they installed their takedas? and if you didnt did it cause any problems?

thanks guys, after reading this read i decided to go w/ the takedas

When I installed the Takedas, the AC lines were not an issue.

I have these, no rubbing anywhere to report that I can see, and no cutting was the selling point, even if they make slightly less power, a few hp is not going to make me cut my car...I had the upper tubed PC'ed gun metal like my wheels.

Just ordered mine for $397. Should I do this install myself or should I take it to a shop

Here are the install instructions. Give them a read to see if you are comfortable doing it yourself.

I installed mine several months ago via the instructions and felt the car lagged a little sub 3k rpm. I tried researching if the duct which restricts the rubber tubing makes a difference cut vs. uncut. No results. I decided to try it myself and after cutting and letting the ecu relearn it feels stronger. I don't have anything to prove this except for my butt dyno....

throttle response will be worse the further away the filter is from the throttle body, from my honda days, sri had better throttle response, cai made more peak hp from not sucking hot air. The throttle delay on these cars is so bad, Im not sure I even noticed, of course my car had typhoons on it when I bought it, never ran stock intakes, and any intake other than stock that is less restrictive will have a less responsive throttle.
