That is going to be less than a 6 hp gain to the CRANK, and I can pretty much guarantee you they are talking flywheel hp and NOT whp.

Even 363 bhp (again flywheel) is not worth it for the full build, given the costs they laid out (over 3 grand USD in parts -- that's not counting labor and tuning).

363 ps/358 bhp is about 300 whp.

Pass.
You know the 339ps is for a muffler, right?

If it gives more than 20 WHP (assuming that the vehicle have all the bolts on and tune) then i think it worth it.

This would be interesting if it would help with spool-time (FI) or low end grunt, but not that interesting to me for increasing top end power. The Z does pretty good @ 4k and above. We just need something for the lower RPM situations!

Not the right cams for forced induction. These are design for a naturally aspirated engine. I believe GTM has cams for an FI kit.

Okay... well get a quote from someone you like on labor for opening the head and installing new cam.

If the numbers work out for you (or if you can do it yourself), go for it!

For me, it sounds like headache + expensive + unsure how the car will run.

Correct... It's going to take a good 10 - 12 hours of labor in order to get these in. $4,000+ for 20 - 30whp? No thanks, I'll put that towards a supercharger or turbo.

Yeah... and some utterly selfish part of me hopes he or someone else does do it to prove me right/wrong, 'cause data > theory.

That said... I'd feel way better about anyone doing it if we could tune VVEL.

Yeah, yeah... VVEL for intake cam, but again, intake and exhaust have to be clocked in harmony... one remains untunable and the other will be fixed but different. That sounds too sketchy to me, especially on new fairly expensive sports car.

It's easy to say "it won't work" or "it's not worth it". I feel like the 370 has been around long enough at this point where we can start seeing some new things experimented with instead of just the normal boring bolt-ons.

Those looked like engine dyno numbers, not chassis dyno numbers... thus, to the crank.

This has me back on the fence again. I had convinced myself to get a TT kit after my next deplpyment, but now this has me thinking of going back to what I really would like to do which is build the motor up N/A. If you go through with this zuperman 370, I would be curious to hear how it affects the powerband more than any ultimate top end gains. As somebody already mentioned, above 4k rpm it already does pretty good. I'm subscribing for results!
