I know, go run it or dyno it, but I'm just curious if anyone has a similar combo and has already done so. 2012 370Z Touring/Sport Berk CBE Z1 smooth

2012 370Z Touring/Sport Berk CBE Z1 smooth post-MAF tubes Drop-in filters (Cosworth, about the same as K&N). Otherwise mechanically stock. Results for this combo/guesses? |

Add some HFCs to that mix and I can say 310whp on a Mustang Dyno in 5th gear
(if its calibrated exactly like the one I ran on, and it happens to be 78 degrees F with 75% humidity and a barometric pressure of 29.5 inHg) Without the cats.. I dunno, maybe 302 or so

It varies based on the dyno type and correction factors of course, but with Stillen G3 intakes, HFCs, and a tune, you should see a pretty reliable 310rwhp. Without the G3s, I think you will see around 5rwhp less with the drop in's and post MAF tubes.

You draw dyno graphs and Einstein calculations in your free time.

Dyno numbers really don't mean anything on their own. The more valid numbers are the differences shown on the dyno before and after mods are done. Dyno's are as different as day & night. Calibrations, operator errors, temperatures, altitudes, etc., etc. will affect the numbers. As well as the kind of dyno used.
btw, IMHO those "guesses" are pretty high.

On a Dynojet, I would guestimate 290-295 hp. He's still running stock cats with a cbe, drop-ins and maf tubes. 6mt is correct and the important difference is the Delta between your baseline and post mods dyno. If the average Z is doing between 270-280hp on a dynojet for their baseline, I would agree anything over 300 may be optimistic, but not in the realm of impossibility.

Another Baseline Dyno - Results
Berk CBE and Z1 tubes + Drop-ins only worth 5-10whp? Or if my Z had that base-line, should I expect 300 on that day, on that dyno? |
