If so, it still performed 2nd best of the lot. Dry mediums tend to filter marginally better, but they also tend to flow a bit more poorly when clean (although, they do flow better when caked with dirt...). Anyway, you should be fine with either a dry synthetic or oiled cotton medium.

I just put K&N's and MAF tubes on my car. While it feels peppier with increased throttle responce and more power, I wasn't expecting 16whp or anywhere near that. Hell, I would be truelly happy with 10whp peak.

It's $100. I'd be happy with 5whp gain. Goes to show, once again, how the stock intake box is plenty efficient. I'd be curious to see what gains the OP would get on this particular car and dyno if he installed the Stillen Gen 3's.

We're probably going to go with an AEM intake rather than the Stillen. Reason being we can ditch the ETI module when we put the uprev tune on it and have a larger intake tube overall. |

I would also say it's more like 13whp, since the 293whp on the baseline was at 7100ish rpm and the 309 we got was at 7300.
I apologize for the inconsistent baseline vs modded charts, we were rushed. |

One easy way to test to see just how restrictive (or non-restrictive) the stock air filters/boxes are would be to just make a dyno run with them on, then take them off. Can't get any more open than that. With the hood up on a dyno and fans blowing on the motor it's gonna get cool air making the CAI test kinda moot as they would be somewhere a bit less than just no boxes at all.

Peak power is that, peak power. It might have peaked at 7100 before and now peaks at 7300 with the filters. BUT, if power was still climbing on the 293whp pull and the run was stopped at 7100 prematurely, then the gains are slightly false and more than likely less than what we are all going with at this point. |

Nice gains!
I made 22whp over my baseline with just exhaust and test pipes, glad you like the results! DAN
