Then on the flip side, you have Ford putting a similar intake OEM on the GT500, and then warrantying it for 5/60 with longer available.

Do you mean the comparison test vs. various other filters on that Supra forum?

If so, it still performed 2nd best of the lot.

Dry mediums tend to filter marginally better, but they also tend to flow a bit more poorly when clean (although, they do flow better when caked with dirt...).

Anyway, you should be fine with either a dry synthetic or oiled cotton medium.

I think HKS and Cosworth both make dry element filters.
