What do you like/dislike about your exhaust?
Are you planning on getting a new exhaust and can't decided which ones to get?
If you have already bought you exhaust, do you remember how difficult it was to make a decision between tons of exhausts out there(at least it was pretty difficult for me b/c I was on a tight budget)? What is your price range? What kind of exhaust do you have or plan on getting? What do you like/dislike about it? For instance: bigger tips, dual-opening tips, burnt tips, louder sound, light weight, cheaper price, etc. If you could make changes to your exhaust, what kind of changes would you make? Please help me out if you want to see the 'ultimate exhaust' in the future. I'm working with an company right now and they will take all your suggestions into consideration to develop their future exhaust systems for 370Z's. Thanks! EDIT: here's the part 2 of this thread! http://www.the370z.com/intake-exhaus...-part-2-a.html |
I loved how raw the agency power exhaust was and how pronounced it was at idle, but it was too loud for a DD. I loved my ark but wish it was just a tad louder at cruising speeds. the WOT of the ark was pure sex though. I was paired up with Berk HFC's for both exhausts as well.

Exhaust like/dislike
Ok my only complaint about my STILLEN exhaust are the tips. They could be angled to more closely match stock, but other than that I am happy!:ughdance:

I have the F.I. TDX. I only have 2 compaints. 1. I bashed up the cans on my evil driveway from hell and 2. I need a 3" now that I am going TT. I love everything else about it. So much that I am on the list to get the 3" version...........

Wish I bigger tips on my Greddy. Other than that 100% happy.

i have the Tanabe
it fits my style well. quiet until you floor it,and unlike alot of exhausts on here, it seems to keep the z's original tone better, tips fit perfectly also. however sometimes i wish it was a tad louder...but thats what hfc and such are for |
I have Berk HFC and CBE. I bought it for the performance gains, everything else was a bonus.
Pros-
Cons-
Like I said, I bought if for the performance gains. The very slight rasp (from the HFC only) doesn't bother me but I added it as a con because that does tend to bother people on this forum. |
Like GaleForce said, the Berk combo does sound awesome.
It sounds like a really pissed off Racing Chewbacca above 4k rpm and like a burbling, slightly cantankerous Chewbacca in normal city driving. I did have an issue with the tips not being totally straight. Nobody else I pointed it out to could see what I was talking about . But it was a simple fix to get them perfectly aligned. |
When I chose Stillen, they we really the only ones making Hfc's & CAI's for the 370. Yes, I was pretty early on in the life of the 370... So my choice wasn't difficult. And I have no complaints. I like the sound, the gains, and the look of the tailpipes.

Agency Power, the sound matches the looks of the car. The AP people and the products are of the highest quality! Nothing but love here for AP.

Wow thanks for the great information guys! Reps++++++!

Berk CBE and HFC is one of the best in sound, fitment is close or better than OEM, doesn't have any fancy exhaust tips(ex. big and round or burnt tips), and power gains are among the best of any of the top exhausts or the 370z.
