Default Yes I've searched and surfed, Berk CBE vs. Gemini???

Yes I've searched, I've listend to countless you tube vids. I know i like the Gemini. The berk vids mostly are CBE AND something else, vs. just CBE.

I did hear two for the CBE alone but they did not sound the same which made me question if the CBE was really alone and which of the two was accurate.

Why not just buy the Gemini? I might, but want to give the Berk a fair shot (words sound promising) and I know where there is a decent used one.

I know lots of you like something else. I want to hear it when I stomp, not so much on the highway, deeper idle is welcome. no drone, no rasp, no rice. Not looking for number gains, just melodius engine noise I like the stockers on my G35 coupe if that helps. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Edit, extra question.... is there a cheaper way to get there (bolt on rather than fab) IE, do any of the HFC's deliver a softer sound. I listened to quite a few of those too when surfing vids but they all seemed raspy/tinny.

It sounds like the Gemini is just what you are looking for. Not obnoxious, fairly quiet up to 3-3.5 rpms, after that you know its there and hardly noticeable on the highway. The car interior noise is loud enough, no need to make it worse. Price point is just about half of most other CBE's (pm jomer at fbnissan), without sacrificing quality and you will have it in a week. Just my 2 cents

I was in the same position as you just this week. I finally pulled the trigger on the Berk but I was torn between the Gemini and the Berk. I ordered it from FBNISSAN for an amazing price. I should have it here next week and will have it put on the same day or the next.

I got just the berk with no hfc. I love the sound this exhaust produces, mellow, no rasp, burbly under light throttle, no drone at all on the highway. the sound between 3-4k Rpms is music to my ears, and apparently to other people too because I get alot of compliments on how my car sounds. you really should hear it in person, it's got a nice deep vq tone.

I was in the same boat, but I have finally decided to get the Gemini CBE, the CNT HFC and K&N filters from FBNISSAN as they have the best price. I listened to so many exhausts that I had to stop and choose one. To me, the Berks and Geminis are close, but the Geminis are so much more affordable, it allows me to get the HFC and the K&N. I am going to pull the plug very soon, but I am bummed because I may not be able to put them on for a few months (Cleveland winters).

if you're more of a loud sound person, get the berks. i have the gemini my self and i'm not happy with it. coming from a muffler delete exhaust (AAM) the invidia sounds too quiet for my liking

I completely agree. I ran the Berk with no HFC for quite awhile and the sound was very nice, mellow up to 3.5K and all hell breaks loose when you nail it. Great stealth sound when the PoPo are next to you at a stoplight.

Good stuff mate. Get some pics up. Would like to see how they come cause I'm thinking of ordering from FBNissan myself for same exhaust.

I am on same boat with you..

Exhaust is my only planned mod for some nicer sound, and i dont care too much about performance. I take 2ish hours trip (60-80mph) weekly so hardway drone is bad.

I am not sure I like the titanium tips of Invidia and the BERK seems expensive.

have you considered Fast Intention which everyone talks about...
or just the simple AAM Short Tail ( which I think would be too loud for us ?)

As far as I know the FI and AAM are louder options. I listened to all the vids i could find last night and decided on Invidia.... subjective, but the tone was better to me. Chocolate or peanut butter? right?
