Thanks man it's well worth it! Best bang for the buck. It exceeded all my expectations of what I thought it would sound like. It idles like V8. I let two of my friends hear it yesterday in person and I think they boy needed new pants haha. They couldn't believe how great it sounded! Good luck with whatever route you decide to take!

Judging from youtube videos, its one of the best sounding exhaust mods out there. My only concern is overwhelming drone. I had the original dual shockwave on my 350z and it was bad but manageable. How is the drone with these?

It does have some in cabin sound but it's only because the car is so small and exhaust right there at you haha. Drone isn't too bad. Very manageable for price and quality sound you get.

Agreed I pulled up to go to class this morning at my college and it was like every one I drove by was staring and looking. It's the only 370 on campus that I've seen and it's more noticeable now with the exhaust.
My girlfriend can handle it so if she can anyone can |

I was giving test pipes thought until I heard the aam in person. I still might go test pipes one day, but if you already have the test pipes like you said then I would put the aam on and try them out with the test pipes. You won't regret the aam! It really does prowl like a v8. Also, I'm a youngster the loud sound is great now best of luck once again!

My cousin has a 09 mustang v8 and my car idles better with aam than his car with flowmasters.
P.s. gonna try to get some drive-by vids up later tonight on YouTube! |

I should put my go pro camera on your car back by the exhaust and get a video of it Daniel. Then you would have my video of just the AAM and then your exhaust with the test pipes as well. Then people could hear the difference.

You may notice slightly ... but once you adjust and learn the shifting difference you'll compensate and wont notice a difference anymore. I'll hit 120 in fifth gear at around 5k rpm on stock configuration.
Im tuning at UpRev in Austin near the end of next month so I'll post the difference. In all honesty, if you want that aggressive sound and keep the performance ... do it, but know you *will* need to tune since you'll be running hella lean. If you're doing just the short tails you wont need to tune. If you do get the test pipes don't forget the bung extenders. Z1 makes some really good brass ones. Intakes+test pipes+short tails=tune Intakes+test pipes=tune Intakes+short tails=no tune Test pipes+short tails=tune Pretty much all configurations with TPs will need a tune. W/o TPs you wont need to... based off my own tests and applications of the above set ups. -d Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk Last edited by darionlear; 01-19-2012 at 12:02 AM. |
