^^ Truth. If you'd like more info, don't hesitate to call Tony. He will explain everything to you, even if you want to buy another exhaust.

Not many people on here run headers at all unless they are the Fast Intentions long tube headers, at which point passing emissions is gonna be impossible. Look into high flow cats, which will be more emissions friendly or test pipes if you dont mind having to swap them back out for the stock cats to pass emissions.
1. The first generation sat sort of low yes, but after being dropped 1" all around, and through crappy Arizona and California, New Mexico, Texas, Georgia, South Carolina, etc. roads, I never once scraped. Knock on wood. 2nd generation F.I. exhausts now have the cans raised another 1" to negate this problem.

2. Headers aren't worth it if you're in a highly smog anal state yes. But if you want something that will give you even more power, and imo an awesome exhaust note no matter which exhaust you go with, headers are the way to go. Better flow than both test pipes and HFC's, more volume than HFC's and less rasp than test pipes. You'll have a distinctive note that will differentiate you from all the rest, if you're into being special.

3. Cost is subjective depending on taste and wallet. If you can afford to do it, and have the desire to get the most out of your n/a motor, then they're the way to go.

It's okay, doesn't give you the highest numbers. Burnt tips if you want that look. It does have a lot of Volume and Rasp to it though.

^^^ This is the best answer you can get.

Berks are not where the looks, sound, power of an F.I. setup is imo.

But that comes down to what sort of look do you want... = shaped cans or \ / shaped cans...
