C.B. Exhaust install average price?

I tried to use the search engine to find this but didn't find anything.

So if there is something that I missed sorry.

Just wondering what the average price for a cat back system installed is?

And I know that a lot of people have done this install them selves. I tried on Saturday but the cheap soft nuts were just rounding off using hand tools.

My dealer gave me a quote of $265.50, which I know is high. But I also know that if something isn't right they will have to take care of it.

A couple of different muffler shops in town quoted $130.00 to $180.00. But I don't know about them or their quality. So I'm not sure about taking my car to some place that I don't have any experience with.

What did you guys pay?

Thanks guys!

Mine was $200, with 4 hrs of work. 2 hrs alone was from removing stockcat. They are nice and only charge 2.5 hrs of labor.

happytheman 01-06-2012 11:45 PM

Ummm, I've got a quote for $75.

$90 for cat-back installation. anymore than $100 i'd say just walk away.

For let's say $200. I'd buy a basic socket set, floor jack, and stands and do it your self. Walk away feeling proud. So easy a caveman can do it.

I got mine installed today for $120.00. So at least it's done. I really like the way it looks and sounds!

But beware of the dreaded demon that lurks below, lol!

happytheman 01-07-2012 05:49 PM

Yah, but the demon is not involved if just replacing the exhaust from the stock cats back.
