Tell that to the demon bolt that was on my NISMO catback between on the passenger side. We ended up cutting the flange and bold on that side on the NISMO catback.........

I tried that, I bought a new floor jack two extra jack stands and covers. I don't have any impact tools so I tried to use my Craftsmen sockets.

I pre spayed the flange nuts with wd-40. All of the bolts were on super tight. I started at the muffler to flange nuts. I was just barley able to loosen 3 of them. When I tried the 4th one it was so tight that the nut rounded off. I ended up cutting the nut off. I removed the muffler.

I went to the do the next 4 nuts, got 1 off, super tight again. Went to do the next one and the nut rounded. Got mad and put it back together. I'm not a pro mechanic but i have done plenty of work on cars sport bikes etc.

With out a impact and compressor they weren't coming off.

Believe me I don't like to ever quit something that I start. But this time I knew when to throw in the towel.

Anyway the new F.I. system is sweet!

You cant try taking those nuts off with a 12 point socket set. it makes a big difference whether or not they round off

Psh just rent an extractor set and that rounded bolt will come right out. And look for like a Broom handle for more leverage on the socket wrench (rachet)

I installed mine yesterday went well, used all hand tools took about 4 hrs. I used that krisoil penetrant that bigaudiofan has suggested on another tread. As for the demon bolt I used about 3 feet of extensions had a friend hold a six point socket on them as I cranked the 3 foot breaker bar. Took a lot to crack them but after that was done the rest was easy...

Demon bolt slayed
