I'm looking for something that shows the separate runners just like the GTR or the kinetix manifold purely for the purpose direct port nitrous......hehe

roplusbee 05-10-2013 09:20 PM

I understand that the stock or even M370 can probably withstand boost, but I am looking to make the switch just for piece of mind. I really don't want to be that guy that has the one that fails. I don't believe in luck, but I musty have a black cloud or something, lol.

Back on topic...........I am really looking to make a move on this if homeboy makes it available to us. If not, back to making a move with the Kinetix folks.

I'm really interested to see what the balancing tube does for our cars...for the 300ZX guys, they experimented with tuning the balance tube, and it changed the power curve characteristics and whatnot. I know the HKS supercharger intake manifold has a balance tube as well.

I think that combined with the smooth, individual runners will net some serious gains, especially on a tuned, boosted 370z. I forsee it as a higher displacement version of the VG motor, in a sense.

hey folks, back from Egypt and already made some extensive daily driving with the new setup ! So far absolutely no problems:
- cold/warm startup
- idle
- throttle response
- no CEL codes
- fuel economy
- WOT from 2nd to 6th gear

to sum it up the car acts, reacts and sounds completely as stock.

I cannot say yet if there is more power or torque even though it really feels like it goes through the gears faster as before but that could just be my imagination ;)

the dyno* is booked for tomorrow and then there will be proof - stay tuned !

Chris

* same dyno I made two "before" runs with 6 weeks between each run reaching exactly same curves up to 1HP accuracy !

Now is a good time to start placing bets, Chris says he is gonna give out a free kit to whoever nails the result. Right Chris?

AlexRaymond19 05-13-2013 03:57 PM

What was the before dyno?

Subbed for DYNO results

The two banks are already connected inside the stock manifold, so there is no need for a balance tube.

best I can do is 5.00 and a date (you pay for the food, but you get to enjoy my company. Only stipulation is no sex... unless you throw in a FI TT kit)

MyKindaGuise 05-13-2013 10:54 PM

In for price. I don't need no stinking dynos.

Gaston370Z 05-13-2013 11:58 PM

My guess is its no different than the Knetics manifold.... Just looks cool and thats it

G37sHKS 05-14-2013 02:47 AM

Ill buy if there was no lose in HP at any RPM. i dont really care about the gains.

did you guys bought your body kit and stickers for HP or looks? consider this mod are a bling mod if no losses or gains.

SgtGoldy 05-14-2013 03:04 AM

I have a terrible feeling its going to be an extremely expensive "bling" mod

chrischhorn 05-14-2013 03:08 AM

If this plate is available for under $200, you buy the GTR intake manifold for $600ish at the dealer....$800 for bling. People pay more for the Top Secret parts. Will be worth it for me depending on how much I can get it for at cost to the dealer. I can get all Nissan parts at dealer price ;)
