Oh man things are getting serious now!

I was just wondering how come a guy all the way from German could get this possible in couple of month regardless the delay that he had because of the events etc.. while GTM are still in process..

Mad Props for you Chris

I'm worried that GTM got to this same point and saw no gains, so they ****-canned the whole thing. When companies spend money on something and get nothing out of it, they don't generally post about it on the internet. :(

Here's hoping this gets us something though!

I'd like to think it would help FI folks but I'm sure we won't find out that information for awhile. Looks fantastic, good work.

It's a thing of beauty....

looking for dyno results?

MyKindaGuise 04-30-2013 12:31 PM

Looks amazing! Might even be worth the money just for looks even if it doesn't gain well.

as long as it doesn't lose hp, that's what I'm in for

If it starts to lose HP, just slap a GTR sticker on it....

so guys the day has finally come and we put it all back together ! Engine started no problem and idles smooth as stock. Took it for a little test drive around the block and throttle response is great and it still feels like a daily driver - no weird noises nor behaviour.

Everything else will show the dyno run and the track test but up to this point I'm very satisfied how it all came out so far.

Just to make sure I have this right, you're still using the stock 370 Throttle Bodies, and the intakes for a 370, no matter the brand, will work with this? Or will modifications to the upper intake pipes be needed?

Just noticing the missing strut bar... is this a lost cause or can it be re-mounted?

vividracing 04-30-2013 02:24 PM

Looks great! Stoked to see the power gains

ChrisUR 04-30-2013 02:32 PM

the intake pipes from Stillen had to be cut by 8cm on the passenger side and 6cm on the driver side. I have not yet verified fitment with the completly stock intake system.

For the strut bar this can NOT be simply re-installed but as I track my car very often I will modify it so there will be a strut bar again. In front of the intake plenum you have some room where a strut bar can be placed, just needs a bit welding ;)

yes, stock throttle bodies have been used they fit the GTR manifold no problem, just need the gaskets from R35 - even the bolts are the same. So does the 370Z intake temp sensor, even the cable connector can be used without soldering longer wires, you just have open the wire channel behind the engine and pull out the cable a bit so it reaches the sensor facing in the opposit direction.

only thing I did was to eliminate the TB water cooling so the engine bay looks cleaner and less pipes are around.

Chris
