but I haven't done an extensive testing because at that time I had some ign timing issue caused by a cracked flywheel (discovered in September) but I did see some improvement my guess why I gained some power with the oversized TB was because when I did the test if i remember correctly , it was with my custom CAI which had a bigger MAF tube . soo the choking point was the Oem TB and not the MAF anymore http://www.the370z.com/members/megan...ure42412-a.jpg |
Is that just a bored stock TB? Or is there an an aftermarket version of that?
|
I think its bored

How much over was it bored?

Oem TB are 60mm wide
I bored it up to 62.5mm + the butterfly shaft is cut in half with the screw has being filed down and the butterfly plate has an angled cut all around . the cost ? 500$ for both of them .(250$ /each) |
Any idle issues?

I was looking at the 70mm aftermarket. With the larger MAF

if, you get any positive news about this ,, let us know ! edit; btw , if you are looking or a 70mm TB ,, good luck with that on the 370z , because the diameter of the intake manifold is at 64mm + - 1mm ... |
