Cosworth Panel Filters for 370Z??
Hey guys, I'm looking for Cosworth drop in panel filters for our car and I am not finding anything. I see the panel filters for the G37 have the same model number as the HR 350Z (see link below). Does that mean they'll also fit our car's intake box?
http://americas.cosworth.com/product...r-air-filters/ From what I recall, the HR Z didn't gain much, if anything from aftermarket CAI. Am I wasting my time with drop-ins, in general? The Cosworth proved to be the best panel filter for the Evo X, and I had it on my car and loved it. Should I just hold out for the Stillen Gen 3's? I plan on getting the Z Uprev'd in the future if that matters. |

drop ins (k&n etc) are worth about 5whp give or take one or two whp. So I suppose, yes, their worth it. I don't know if that cosworth panel filter will fit or not, are the G37 boxs that same as ours?
So far, with currently available intakes, the G3 yield the biggest peak hp gains. Drop ins and post maf tubes will give you 85-90% of the peak gains and equal or better gains down low/mid range and cost 1/2 the price. Personally, I'm still waiting to see what motordyne comes up with since Tony has repeatedly mentioned they will begin work on an intake for our cars at some point hopefully real soon. I'm also waiting for a true independent dyno on a 370z with the R2C intake. I'm sold on their filter tech, but not on the SRI setup with semi exposed filters and metal piping. |
