exhaust note changed, have question
I just got my car back from having a Twin Turbo installed. I have berk hfc and a Berk exhaust installed. When I started it up and took it for a test drive before taking the car home, I noticed that the sound that I loved so much from the Berk exhaust was gone. It now sounds like a stock exhaust. So my question is to those that have a TT set up did your exhaust note change or did it stay the same? I was thinking of getting a different exhaust now and I was also wondering if I went with test pipes would that help or would my car not change its tone at all because of the turbos? I was also wondering for those that have a HKS exhaust and a TT how much did your note change as I am leaning towards this instead of my Berk. Or if anyone in my area has this step up of a TT and an hks exhaust I would really appreciate it if I could listen to your car. Or really any TT set up in San Diego that I could listen to as I do want a different exhaust. The only reason I got the berk exhaust was for the sound and I no longer have that sound. Thanks for any help that you all can offer.

I have the Berk as well and LOVED the way it sounded before I was TT. I even have 3" down pipes and the car is pretty quiet until the waste gates open. I am running open dump pipes at the waste gates. It's kind of nice to have the car so quiet on the highway and also be totally obnoxious when I get into it. Even with that I want a better sound when I'm just smoothly accelerating.
I have toyed with the idea of having new mid pipes made without the resonators. That may help. But I haven't heard anything that sounds as good as a 3" exhaust on a TT Z.

I know Cali frowns at this. But remove cats and problem solved. Remember TT cars have a more tranquil exhaust note than an NA. BTW Greddy TI-C FTW!

I was looking at the Greddy TI-C but really wasn't sure about it. I tried looking up videos of this exhaust but I didn't really like the sound. May be it sounds better in person. I was thinking about just getting test pipes as my car won't pass CA inspection anyway, that and since I'm in the military I have my car registered else were. I also had the idea of just taking my berk exhaust and having someone cutting out the piping and adding 3 inch pipes to the muffler. Has anyone ever tried that with another exhaust and how did it work out for you?
