Given your exhaust setup I would venture to say that it is to be expected. Somebody with more experience can confirm.

Your just running a little rich. Backfire is caused from unburned fuel or bad spark plugs or timing. A tune or intake should help. Try looking at your plugs too. If your untuned then I wouldn't say its the timing which can also be a cause. A too "retarded" set timing will also cause backfire. Fuel injectors spraying fuel after cylinder has already combusted is another but that's not going to be it either. If i mixed anything up Feel free to correct me.

It is actually most likely backpressure, nothing to do with timing. I don't hear it with my current setup but had CB's on other cars that produce it...

Normal, don't worry. I actually get a fair amount of hiss when I let off the gas so you probably just have more backpressure suction with the TPs.

You might check for an exhaust leak. This can cause back firing when you back off the gas.

Always remember that being too rich is almost as bad as being too lean. you can bend an exhaust valves, burn your piston oil rings, and foul plugs. don't worry you won't be that rich from exhaust mods, that's more of a just so you know thing

Sounds like a little back fire. Not uncommon with an unrestricted exhaust system.

I have a similar set-up ( Berk HFC and CBE). I am also tuned, I had/have the "pops" before and after. It's just because the exhaust is so unrestrictive like Will said. This was also confirmed by my tuner (Sasha at SG Motorsports) he knows his Nissan's!
