The issue with adjusting VVEL is that the ECU has no control over it, the system is completely separate from the main ECU. This is what is causing all the problems with adjusting timing when tuning because the ECU shows it, but the VVEL system overrides any changes. I am hoping that Uprev will be able to get some progress on their VVEL block they tore down recently and see some worthwhile results. I usually bug them once every few months to check on progress and anything new they have found.
