Default Front bumper cut-outs paired with Stillen Gen 3 Intake

I have seen a pretty cool mod done on the z33's and was wondering if anyone has tried this on one of our cars yet, the product I linked in below is obviously just to make the actual cut-out nicer, but it is a cool tweak to the front end of our cars. People are cutting holes in the front bumper of the z33's and ducting that air right into the filters on an intake. I really want to try this on my z34, anyone heard of anybody else online trying this yet?

I really want something that makes better use of the license plate area. So far no one has any product offering.

Yeah I see these on 350's day in and day out. I've seen them
On a 370 or 2 here on the forum as well but I'm not sure who's it was exactly. It would be easy for someone to make a one off piece like that and either have it painted or carbon wrapped though. The 370z I saw them on had them
On both sides

urvokbm is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Old news

Mines makes CF air ducts for the z34, they go for about 1,000$
If someone made a more affordable version I'm sure they'd be eveywhere

So ugly... gains wouldn't justify the way it looks... like DIGI said I would prefer something on the unpainted plate area (maybe even underneath where it isn't visible).

I think it is def a love or hate mod, I have seen an alternative to this as well, some people are cutting the small plastic pieces that are on the outside of the "fangs" with a dremel type tool and then ducting the air from that opening directly at the filters on the Gen 3 intakes..

My intakes get air from the fang ducts. The air dam already gets plenty of air through the FMIC and radiator (hopefully), so it would be nice to get some fresh air pushed through the engine bay to expel the heat. Therefore, definitely the unpainted section of the bumper to keep it cosmetically pleasing.

did you actually modify the plastic between the fangs and the outside section of the bumper?

Really i'd prefer the fang duct ... the bumper duct seems like it's just begging for a water problem.

When removing the fang covers, there is about 1" extra plastic that needs to be cut out to enlarge the opening.

Oh snap! I'd like that, but hopefully it can be installed in the license plate area.
