I Need a Louder Exhaust!!
 

Afternoon everybody,

Just wanted to have a little assistance in shopping for an exhaust that's louder than the Stillen CBE.

I know there's a lot of threads about exhaust...

...but I want some hands-on experience with those who have a Cat-Back installed.

Stock is ghostly quiet.
Stillen Exhaust is what the car should have came with stock.
I want it to SOUND like it has an exhaust on it!!

I might be biased but I love the sound of the AAM short tails. I can't say enough good things about them. $400 and you have a louder exhaust then 75% of the users on this forum.

Add HFC's to the Stillens... might be all you need plus a power boost....

The Greddy Turbo Ti-C is an awesome quality true dual exhaust that sounds beastly!

I'll second the HFC's suggestion. If you're in an area that doesn't have emission testing then you could go with resonated test pipes. They have a similar sound to HFC's. If you really want it loud then just get test pipes without resonators.

Top speed is the best sounding one I've heard. It's usually overlooked because if it's price point $580 shipped. People think its lesser or quality or something. I've got this exhaust and can tell you figment is great quality is top notch and it sounds awesome!

All depends on your budget :)

I was thinking the same thing.

HFC's would really wake it up. If you want to be insanely loud GTHaus is the only exhaust that will suit your taste.

I would go with Fast Intentions CBE 12" resonator or no resonator at all if you want loud.

This might just be a trend but people with 'loud' exhausts always want them quieter inside the cabin...

GT Haus will definitely satisfy you if you want to be heard from anywhere. I loved it!

Cut off the muffler.... = louder (simple).

Maybe you need some HFC's. Cheap way going around it than buying a whole new CBE.

Agency Power for sure! Great sound and it's on the loud side too.

I have GT Haus and trust me it is F*in loud! LOL

Sadly I will part with it cause my office is right opposite a cop shop and the car gets enough attention as is - and for them to hear it when I put my foot down will create a big problem.

So I will be selling mine and moving to FI

I swapped to the TopSpeed from the short tails and man, its MUCH quieter... however the performance is hands down better with my TS. I really felt a difference with it and I can deal with the quietness, for now.

but you have to do the washer mod to make the rattle go away. then you have to deal with the uneven tips.

F.I. Non-res is loud and glorious!!! And if you want even louder, pair it with some test-pipes.

how does F.I. non-res with F.I. LTH compare to some of these. As loud or louder than GT haus, agency power, topspeed??

The GT Haus is definitely loud! GT Haus + test pipes/HFCs is more than enough noise for any Z. We carry most of the popular exhausts for the Z, so feel free to shoot me a PM if you need pricing. We give special pricing to forum members ;)

I'd check out the new Tanabe Medalion Touring. It's really clean and loud enough. ARK GRIP is a nice choice too.:tiphat:

F.I. Carbon Fiber Cans,no resonator, puls HFC's. = Loud!

MY exhaust!!! LOUDEST exhaust on the market... custom made by GTM its a quad exhaust with for bullet style resonators for mufflers ;)

Lets put it this way GTR owners staggered back at the sound of this car... in person its ridiculous!!!

Well you are also running TTs! That 3'' custom quad by GTM is a beast. I was looking into the same setup with 2.5'', but decided against it... couldn't justify price vs performance

cnt cat back + test pipes on my car. like mentioned above about the top speed, the cnt often overlooked because of its low price point but the quality is AMAZING

vid is almost decieving btw. at idle it has a nice low rumble, however u can cruise and not be bothered by any obnoxious drone. but when u open it up... MMMM MMMM! so good make u wanna slap yo momma!

I was looking at the gt haus, the price it gave me was $3200, where did you find it for 2k?
