I assume that you are referring to the pipe from the headers to the y-pipe, which would be the catalytic converters. They can be replaced with either high flow cats or with test pipes (catless). I would suggest starting off with Berk Technology test pipes/high flow cats and either the GReddy TiC dual cat-back exhaust system or the Fast Intentions TDX dual cat-back exhaust system. Both of which will include the y-pipe. Keep in mind that the Fast Intentions exhausts are made to order, so expect a slight waiting period while they make the exhaust.

i like the agency power exhaust with either erz or berk hfc but im low on funds (i did my sound system first) and i hate waiting, these were pretty cheap and i wanted somethin to make the exhaust louder

Cheap Y Pipe and Top Speed Exhaust is in my opinion one of the best sounding exhausts PERIOD, regardless of cost. Check that route. No worry of CEL and can prob get away without tuning immediately. no hiss and very minimal rasp. Good luck, I know how it is when you want something and money is tight, all of my mods have been bought on an economy budget

PLUS 10000000 on the topspeed sounding incredible! I just put it on my car and the sound is phenominal

The megan y pipe looks like a quality product. Haven't seen the downpipe. I say mix and match if you're going on the cheap. Megan y-pipe and GThaus midpipe. You'll be good to go.:driving:

Top speed and cnt are the 2 best exhausts for the z imo.and ironically enough, the most affordable
