JWT pop charger question...

I was bored and looking at different intakes. The pop chargers look cool, but don't seem to yield much as far as power gain. However, I noticed with some of the install pics that the rubber accordion crap is still on them. Can't you install these with post maf tubes that are at least smooth? Just wondering.

I highly doubt it would be worth it to do so.

I'm just wondering if anyone had done it... supposedly it had about an 8 hp gain, so depending on how much power the post maf tubes gain and considering some have gained only 14 hp with the G3's, i'd say it might very well be worth it.

The problem would be the connection between the two. Is the outer diameter of the pop charger equal to the inner diameter of Maf tubes...

Find that out, and you'll answer your question.

Biggest hiccup I see is finding somewhere to mount the pop chargers to, or do they come with mounts? Otherwise you're going to have a really long floating tube bouncing around under the hood. :ugh2:

I ask not because I was really considering them... but the have a very large intake area and it just seems like it could be a very good set up if cooler air could get to them.

It's just a Wider vs Longer filter. The venturi inside is still the same setup as say Stillen or Injen or K&N Intake filters.

Chris .... im not sure how they mount... but some little thing could probably easily be welded on.

I wouldn't imagine it being too ridiculous. If you want to be a pioneer then don't let me stop you. Just I think you're like me, you only wanna spend the $$$ Once and be done with it. So you look at every possible option before making the choice... :icon17:

Yeah I try to. I shall find a way to make the power lol

Just say **** it and run a fang vent straight to the TB.

FILTERS?!!? We don't need no stinkin' filters! :rofl2:
