Intake: Stillen Gen3...hands down.
HFC: not much difference between brands as the catalytic converter is supplied by the same source. ERZ, Invidia, Berks...go by best price.
Exhaust: depends on quiet vs. loud, looks, quality of build, price. 2 of 3 of my vehicles have Invidia exhausts. The 3rd one is brand new and will get one too in a couple weeks. Invidia has yet to disappoint me.

Exhaust is VERY subjective. I love Invidia, but it is too quiet for some people.

You can check out the tone and such here:
Invidia Gemini Review

I had good luck with the Berk HFCs. Well made, seemed to work well. Internally they are mostly the same, but the physical construction of the berk's is top notch.

For the intake, the G3's will gain you some peak power, at the cost of power down low. Up to you if that is a worthwhile trade. They do also look sweet though.
I personally ran post-MAF tubes and drop-ins, because I was less concerned with peak numbers and more concerned with power down low.

I want an exhaust that has a real good throaty sound to it but not like real loud like the gthaus.. does the intake really make much of a difference? ive heard that drop ins are just as good.. I mean i came from a wrx so this is all new to me.. and is a tune is necessary to make good use of these mods

what year WRX you coming from?

Tune is not needed the way they are on a WRX. You might pick up a few horses from a tune, but it will likely not be a huge gain.

I would pass on the G3s personally. I thought the post-MAFs offered gains that were close enough. Lots of guys run them and are very happy with them though.

I think the Invidia is probably in line with what you are looking for. Deeper and throatier, but not obnoxious.

A dyno tune is optional, but it will always optimize your setup and will not only pick up a few HP and torque (avg 10-15 gain in both...some claim up to 20) in the low and mid-range, it will also clean up your AFR...you will see benefits with a tune, whether you're stock or have done intake and/or exhaust mods. Not required, but I highly recommend it.

05 WRB wrx.. i know headers played a big role in the sound and increased power after my tune.. does that go the same for my z? Im guessing the only real use for a tune would be after forced induction?

Just something about the Berk that made me go with it. Like I said though...both are winners. You can only choose one though lol.

The only input I can offer is that the Greddy Ti-C is 2.75", while the others listed are 2.5". The one that sounds "better" is purely subjective. I have an F.I. TDX.............
