on an N/A motor the amount of air near the intake isn't really a huge factor (unless there is just simply no air). Ram air setups and similar stuff make little to no difference, so there is probably minimal difference in here either.

The big difference, if any, probably comes from the air being somewhat cooler where the G3 filters are verses right inside the engine bay like the R2C.

Anyway, its still 500$ for these short ram intakes....how is it that people dont see how extemely overpriced parts are for these cars? Its a cheap metal pipe with a MAF mount welded on. Woopty do!

I too looked at these and over them. (Especially in the gloss black coating ) but couldn't justify replacing the stock air box with another air box. However I don't think the loss of power vs the Gen III's will be that tremendous.

However I will let you know there are 3 companies that are making intakes for the Z that should be rolling out very soon, if you can hold on just a little longer.

I can agree with a lot of what you are saying, but the R2C's look like a top quality set-up. If they were just another SRI, it wouldn't have almost exactly the same numbers as the Stillen's which are also over 500.00 on the G37 dynos.
