IMO, it's definitely the muffler portion that changes the sound of the 370. Once you put that G37 muffler on, the typical "VQ" sound comes in loud and clear.
For the life of me, I can't understand why Nissan made the exhaust so quiet. My wife's stock Mazdaspeed3 sounds like a monster next to a stock 370. |

I heard it was due to the new noise ordinance in other countries. Any new car model 2009+ has to meet it. G37 came out in 2008 so it got grandfathered in. But I'm not 100% positive. So did u swap out the muffler too chesire?
